my old one didn't work any longer. I had a HP which lasted about 5 years so I'm not that disappointed in it as I only paid 60.00 for it back then. This new one is an Epson V500 with: 6400 x 9600 dpi resolution 17" x 22" enlargements from film Dust and scratch removal with Digital ICE® Easy Photo Fix® restores faded color photos New ReadyScan LED technology for fast scan speeds Built-in TPU — scans slides, negatives and medium format film Adobe® Photoshop® Elements included True-to-life reproductions with 48-bit color Optional ADF to scan multiple documents fast Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Scanner Type: Flatbed Scanner Element: Epson MatrixCCD line sensor Optical Resolution: 6400 dpi Hardware Resolution: 6400 x 9600 dpi Maximum Document Size: 8.5" x 11.7" Color Depth: 48-bit Gray Scale Depth: 16-bit Interface Connectivity: USB 2.0 Power Source: AC Adapter Dimensions: 18.8" x 10.7" x 4.5" I've been using it today and find it very easy to understand and easy to use. The Adobe software is another nice perk that came with it. I just wanted to know if anyone else has an Epson similar to this and how they like it. I've never had an Epson before now so I was a little leary when I bought it but now am happy that I did (as long as it works properlyPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!) I looked around at price as well as features and this looked like the best bang for the buck there was available. It also has a slide or negative copy feature as well which is something I needed because many thousands of my images are on slide format.
nice. scan something...like an old leaf or part of your hand or...something I cannot think of... try it out, upload the image here...
They won't let me do a direct upload from my PC and I refuse to go to another site, upload, then link to it here. To much work. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Yep, I don't make people suffer for something others do wrong. Instead of just banning those that upload bad images the mods just don't allow anyone to upload no matter how good they might have been.:bawl:
I don't know, my 4-in-1 machine was probably $80. Why didn't you go for a copier/faxer/printer/scanner? Nowadays I don't scan much because you can just take pics of everything...
I already have a printer and never use a fax. I find that buying everything separate is a better way to go because if one component fails to work you must stop everything with a all in one machine however buying things separately you can just be out the thing that breaks until you buy a new one. I think also you get a much better machine whenever you purchase them separately because there's many more options you can buy with them separately. It really boils down to what you need it for and what your willing to pay for better equipment that might last allot longer than cheaper things like all in one machines. The thing does scans faster than I can load them in! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
