The following article has an interesting take on lust and love. I personally believe that without lust we would have a very much smaller world population. But what do I know? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! http://bigthink.com/marriage-30/in-...-Sun_9_16_atonement9_14_2012&utm_medium=email
Possibly, but in cultures where parents want to have kids to support them in their old age. They might have other motivations as well as lust. But when you are young and horny as hell, lust plays a very large roll in getting men and women together where love might have a chance. Without the lust, I think the young just wouldn't care to get together all that much.
At some point, I think, the late introduction of the light bulb changed the rate of reproduction in the Far East better than the mandate in China. I think sexual attraction serves also to maintain the pair bond which is great for offspring. I can't help but note the title to a cite given in related Wiki article: Ovulatory cycle effects on Tip earnings by lap dancers: economic evidence for human estrus? Imagine getting funded to study that.
Lust or sexual desire is important for a couple to express their love for each other. But we have to consider the possibility of pregnancy.
An interesting article, KJ. Perhaps we have become too narrow minded in our understanding of what the word 'lust' originally meant? Desire and choosing that which we expect will please or delight us. Desire is the underpinning of all motivation, IMO. Without we desire something, many would sink into apathy. We are genetically programmed to be curious and to have a desire to satisfy our curiosity, in exchange for the biochemical reward of 'pleasure' and 'delight'. 'Lust' interchanges quite readily with 'desire' in most applications and because it has become associated solely with base sexual conduct and erotic and/or tawdry images, I agree with the author that 'lust' has gotten a raw deal. May you all soon experience the verve and vigor that is associated with really wanting something, true lust, and enjoy the moment for our biology is not designed to experience that kind of 'red line' sensory engagement for extreme duration. We learn to reign in lust and teach it to 'go on the bit', to borrow a term from equitation. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I found a site called "I Think I'm In Lust" where people can share their stories of lust. The following story is kind of sad.
Nice word http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Kavorka Yeah! There's women out there like that too. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Damn, I still have a good memory. Either that or I take good notes. I remember Professor Walter Lewin saying that falling in love is an emotional resonance. What do you think? Walter Lewin-8.01 Physics I: Classical Mechanics "The Kavorka is a word which originated from the Latvian Orthodox." Isn't that where they have the blonde parades?
I meant the climate is warm they are not dressed as heavy there is more flesh exposure , therefore the sexual provocation is greater. I don't know if on this post lust means kinkiness ?
