How to make my own font

    If I wanted to make my own font that was based off of my own handwriting, how could I go about doing that? I'm sure I would need to scan in samples of my handwriting, but how would I then go about taking each individual character and importing it to MS word or MS office?

    I'm looking for a solution, but so far, all the hits require you to buy software of some sort...still looking for a free solution.

    Softy looks a bit dated too. Who has Win 3.1 still running?

    Google for Font Forge. Open source...can't say if it'll do what you need, but at least you can try it out.
