There are no easy remedies. There are some crèmes on the market that encourage depigmentation, but you can't expect any spectacular results from them.

    More serious treatments are:
    - Eliminating the spots with liquid nitrogen (the same technique they use for getting red of warts). This has to be done by a dermatologist.
    - Laser treatment. Supposedly, this treatment yields some good results.

But the best treatment is prevention. Age spots are the result of exposure to sunlight. So use sunblock a lot to prevent any more age spots.
Reportedly, a well balanced diet works to prevent them as well.

My sister in law has a dine size age spot right on her cheek. My husband graciously pointed it out to her just in case she missed it.

I figured if I ever got them I would buy Porcelana. I've heard lemon juice works as well. I'm still gonna get the fade cream

Are they flat? I see old men with crusty looking spots.

Age spots are the result of aging and cell glycation (read up on AGE- advanced glycation endproducts), which is difficult to cure. The cosmetic solution is to laser, chemical peel or use hydroquinone type bleach creams.

Dermatologists could rarely solve the underlying problem which could be glucose metabolism and Vit. D3 and B-12 absorbtion issues.

I am experimenting with Telomerese management, but too early to tell if that works. Even though my glucose metabolism is good now, I abused my body by living on sugar in my younger days...so I do not expect miracles.
