If you're near a college campus, look there. Inexpensive apartments in relatively safe neighborhoods most of the time.

I'd have to disagree with you somewhat. Instead of doing what humans did hundreds of years ago today they do what is available to them. Things change around us and we adapt to those changes. So instead of sitting around on a porch talking with our family or friends at night we turn on the TV, read a book or do many other things that are available to us today. It isn't really any different than before, it is just what we have to do today. We have so many options available to choose from sometimes that we can get "lost" in our own creations.

I dunno, Baron, we're very social critters us humans. As much as I like taking solo vacations and such, I still enjoy a good bunch of friends even more. Just my opinion.
