Yep. I was driving along one of our local "auto miles", and there in front of my eyes was a new Fiat dealership!!! Is this the result of the Chrysler merger? Is the new Cinquecento the right car for the US market with the success of other sub-compacts here? Interesting. ~String
My memories of Fiat are marked by one of my father's young colleagues who drove one finished with 90 grit sandpaper. He had to push start it every time. Thankfully it was small enough he could accomplish this himself.
Apparently they have decided that now is the time to re-enter the American market. With the success of other smallies like, the Chevy Aveo, Toyota Yaris & Prius, BMW Mini Cooper, Nissan Juke and others like them, Fiat (through its Chrysler distributors) has decided to put its Mexican factory to work for the North American market. All in all, I'm happy with this. The motors will be built in Detroit, body in Mexico and it will be assembled in Mexico. Though I'd never be caught dead in one. Too small. Too ugly. ~String
