2. I am non-bias in this area of sciforums. I do not care if you’re a republican, I do not care if you’re a liberal, I don’t care about Islam-a-phobia, etc. Your opinion is what matters; I only want to keep the spam down and the trolls out. I want to enhance the quality of this website.
3. I only want to enrich the sciforums experience; I do not want to make this forum 1984ish.

I disagree. I think one of the best things the mods do at Sciforums is that they intervene as little as possible. What you call sci-spam maybe only a problem for you but I think the mods here realize that socialization is inevitable, even at a site like this. That eventually even intellectuals like to take part in jest and non-subject related conversation. I have seen the mods only intervene when it gets too far but completely deleting every single post that is off subject is anal and prude and is a great turnoff because even for serious posters such moderation can be overly done and make the site dry.

Good luck to you and if you do win then I suggest less zealous behavior. Bad behavior can not be changed through strict moderation, infact you will only incite threads and flame war towards you in SOG and Site feedback.

A close and keen eye along with courteous behavior is far more effective than right out deletion and I know because Wet1 showed me this through an example.....lets just say I was a useless shit (Like I have risen to the ranks :) ) when I first joined and believed this place to be a chat room.

Personally, I find the insertion of large picture into a thread very annoying, and undecided has a bad habit of doing this.

I've been toying with the idea of creating a second account, an internet "alter-ego" if you will. Sometimes I just really need to have a good argument, and because I'm so inferior to everyone on here, I need a good, dumbass strawman to beat up on. That way I can win the argument and spend the rest of the day high on my own sense of self-satisfaction. Nobody ever does that around here... :rolleyes:

I think coffee is a good moderator and will complement goofy well. I think sarge and myself are also well qualified to be moderators, but since coffee wants it, I defer to him as I would only really want it to keep it out of the hands of those I think are unqualified.

The first thing I'm going to do, when I get my new powers, is post a poll on what everyone thinks the main problems in WE&P are. Then we're going to talk about how to resolve those problems. Also, I'll be leading an inquiry into this whole WMD debacle.
