Worst. Sunburn. Ever.

In more ways than physical! ;)

so, do guys consider you a white girl or a black girl?

I've noticed that every half black person I have met has retained more from the black side. Just a thought.

Oh God. Chris, that makes me feel terrible for you.

lol. Well, I'm glad you can now understand what I went through. I think sunburns are one of the few things we can relate about...:D

Point being: If nudism wasn't morally wrong, the good Lord wouldn't have invented UV rays.

Haha, that's one way to look at it.

So, it isn't all the painful, eh? I find that somewhat surprising. I've never been burned that badly, but the sunburns I've had have always been uncomfortable due to soreness. But, I'm really cautious with the sun because of the moles I have.

I still think we can spin the pictures into a "scientific research" angle.

;)

I have an X burned into my back because of sunburn. I was wearing a top that's X shaped at the back, and I was too lazy to wear suncream.

It didn't hurt though. I was more just annoyed at being burned, I like being pale.

I have a large beauty mark on my left thigh I keep my eye on, and I'm normally more mindful of exposing the tattoo on the other one that much. It's pretty sore, honestly, but not nearly so bad as it could have been.

OUCH! Is it like a scar? How long ago?

Don't laugh too hard ... it might hurt

I also realize this is a little funny, or a lot funny if you're not the one sticking to your chair.

If it makes you feel any better, I once managed to give myself a depilatory chemical burn ... on ... um ... sensitive flesh. Taught my vanity a lesson, tellyawhat.

I hope laughing at that doesn't cause you excess pain.

For sunburns that bad, I just suggest nighttime acetaminophen and cool showers

are you going to be able to go to work?

I had the misfortune to come up with the same brilliant idea myself, with the same results. Damn, that hurt...

OP - careful not to dismiss sunburn as trivial or laughable - a condition called "sun poisoning" can be very very dangerous, even potentially fatal. A friend of mine nearly died many years ago by dismissing a bad sunburn, ended up in the hospital for over a week...

Aloe, as has been mentioned, is a very good substance to apply, and can't really be over done. I did notice one of the suggested remedies that you might want to be careful with though. I thought I had heard this before, so I Googled the subject and found:

DO NOT apply petroleum jelly, benzocaine, lidocaine, or butter to the sunburn. They make the symptoms worse and can prevent healing

Hope you feel better, but I have to agree with some of the other posters, the visual of you sitting around all gelled up in the nude for a day is kind of titillating... :p

Oh my lord. You're my west coast half-Asian brother from another mother, Tiassa. :D I got a full Brazilian once and I'm still mentally scarred. She actually slapped my sore mound like you'd slap someone's shoulder after you made a doozy of a joke. I'm not an uptight person, but I screamed, stood up, tipped her, and left.

Should be able to. Will pop the Tylenol this evening.

Thanks, Randy. I'll cease on the lidocaine.

Fill the bath tub with lukewarm water, or cool if you can handle it. Dissolve a box of baking soda in the water, and about 1/4th bottle of baby oil. Soak for 15 mins or so. rinse off with a shower. Get out, and apply pure baby oil to the whole body, dab your body dry with a towel. I guarantee this will work better that anything you could ever imagine!

My current pad has a standing shower only. (Ain't being impoverished by school just grand?)

Bummer, still, baby oil is the best, without question. I burn very easily, baby oil is really one of the few things that deeply moisturizes. Give it a try, its pretty cheap stuff.

Oh for a good sunburn!

Where I am, we're just starting winter. It is 10 degrees C outside!
