^^ Not a particular fan of Collier. I'm sure he's technically good, and I've heard he's more if a musician's musician, but I listen to his stuff and find it trying to be too clever rather than simply enjoyable.

I don't like all of Collier's stuff either, but the tunes I linked, especially "Little Blue" (Mahogany) are really beautiful. His work requires headphones for in-depth audition of the subtle shadings in the harmonies. I always liked the Bobby McFerrin's wonderful demonstration of how a the brain can anticipate the next natural harmonic step in a sequence ( see #3394 here).

I also like his audience choir conducting. He demonstrates that most people have an undiscovered sense of tonality and harmony.
I think this may be due to the natural wave functions that permeate space and our bodies. I am intrigued by the notion that all effective wave frequencies humans respond to and rest on the natural fundamental value of 3 (6, 9,) , i.e. 432 hz = 9 528 hz = 6 , without getting into numerology...:cool:
