Though the act of suicide could also be a choice made by a person who is physically very sick. In that situation, there could be a difficult choice between ending one's pain (a rational choice) or staying alive a little longer time because that will be better for other family members in some way, or the sick person believes it is spiritually better to let the disease end their life. None of the choices would be about survival, but instead about abstract ideas of morality or about the spiritual value of pain or about the person's opinion of themself as their life ends. They may even choose to roll dice or flip a coin, choosing to let a random event make their decision for them. Perceiving so many decision paths is part of what makes us human and develop a belief in free will.

Most if not all of the LGBT+ population groups were once considered "mentally ill", too. Classifications are not discovered under a rock, they are invented. This is just a culture or society at particular points in time deciding (sometimes erroneously) what is best for itself.

In other words, the evolutionary process isn't dispensing judgements or following a set agenda or program or goal. What does not immediately have detrimental consequences to a species in its contingent environmental circumstances gets passed on (for better or worse down the road).



I'm often apathetic about such, or just go with whatever "official" qualifications a nearby community or discipline outputs for that. Barring when civil rights are applied to plants, rocks, etc. Though I'm open to listening to any pragmatic justifications that can be submitted for what initially seems ridiculous.

Again, the non-intelligent natural world beyond the human sphere lacks such cognitive distinctions. Humans have no privileged position in its thoughts, because it has no thoughts.

Из этого множества вариантов решений есть ли единственно верный, который мы возможно не можем определить из-за нехватки информации?

Человеческий мозг работает для поддержания физического тела в живом состоянии. Это выработалось в нём в процессе эволюции в виде различных программ. А если мы создадим ИИ, который будет аналогичен мозгу человека, то что он будет поддерживать? Самого себя? Тогда какой в нём смысл?

Technically, thoughts would in be the domain of biology and some of the soft sciences, rather than physics. But the purported narcissism of physicists ("physics is the king of sciences") may have them occasionally intruding in that arena.
