To partisipate you must join the mod club.!!!

Members in good standin agree to accept bans from each other based on Sciforums rules as they see fit.!!!

I, cluelusshusbund consider myself a member of the mod club as of now.!!!

Members can ban other members for 1 day... 3 days... 1 week or 1 mounth.!!!

To get the ball rollin... new members who join the club are automaticaly baned for 1 day.!!!

Ok... my ban starts now.!!!

TIA.!!!

I will "mod" myself for a minute, break (maybe) a rule. I sent you a PM and I don't think you got it. (sorry) I'm not doing that thing right.

I'm not interested in banning anyone. I'm interested in not getting banned by moderators, and I'm getting better, I think. Why would I want to join a club that allows more people to ban me?

I'd rather be in the James R. club, where there is only one person in the club that can ban me. His call! Is he perfect? No, there will be times that he will ban me when he is wrong. But humans make mistakes sometimes.

More humans in the club means more mistakes! It means more ignorance and stupidity in control of a ban button.

No thanks, I'd rather be in the James R. club where ignorance is scarce and justice is within sight.

I think our friend Clueluss has finally gone off the deep end. Nightingale babbles as always, Kitt is left speechless, and OMG! Motor Daddy coins a clever phrase.

"Ignorance is scarce and Justice is within sight"

You ought to go over to that new idealism thread they got going, MD.!

Sounds like a motto for a new super hero - what shall we name him?

Ignorance Scarce! Justice in Sight!

I don't get the preoccupation with bans and banning. Seems kind - of silly I guess.

I'm not realy getting the purpose of this neither, is it to show that being a moderator is a hard job ?
If so i suggest some kind of feedback-discussion, also consider making the maximum ban 3 days so people can actually participate in such discussion.
As it stands now if i would join i would immediately ban everybody else participating so they can not ban me.

based on Sciforums rules
sciforums has rules ?

The purpose is a new way to cut back on flamers, trolls and the generally annoying - purposefully annoying and offensive. I'm saying the moderators may have less to do if a hard case knew he had no audience - particularly the person, or sort of person they were deliberately trying to bait. I am not talking about banning any one, just letting folks know that who among us does not care to play their game. The ignored person could even go right on being provocative if he cared to; he would just know precisely who was fed up with his trash.

Whew... my ban is over... now back to postin eh :)

I see no one else has joined the mod club yet so i shoud be perty safe from bein baned agan if i watch my p's an q's

I already do that Arne, i give everyone a chance to say something sensible and then i ignore the trolls.
On sciforums this policy is usually turned into looking for the few who are worth interacting with and ignoring the rest though.

The thing wrong with this game is we only ban each other, (and participants got to be in good standing)
the trolls(or whatever) would never join.
Plainly asking for feedback(do i make sense ? am i obnoxious, give me your cold hard opinion about me) seems more effective.

well, if the want to be-s around here would quit spewing about how scientist and centuries of scientific established work was wrong,
or thinking they are " slick " and starting arguments , only just to argue and ridicule(even tho they are clueless to begin with), then claims they are being trolled(which is pathetic),
these individuals would not be complaining about moderators.
it's that simple
(shrugs)

and also, what's funny is,
everyone who screams " troll "(which are the actual troll-ers),
i bet,
thinks it derives from a character under a bridge.
but the reality is,(which they are clueless on) it's
derived from the meaning of fishing trolling.
comical.
