Trump 2.0

Oh, I think most of the terrorists lately have been on your side. Murderous terrorist (and fervent Trump supporter) Patrick Crusius pled guilty to murdering 23 people and wounding 22 others in 2019, for example. His lawyer explained that "he thought he had to stop the invasion because that’s what his president was telling him."
...
Yep. Even the FBI--not a left-leaning organization by any stretch of the imagination--considers "rightwing extremism" to be the primary threat.

And Democrats have been begging for a chance to compromise with Republicans and pass a shitty GOP border bill for over seventeen years, now. The problem is, Republicans can't seem to come up with a bill racist enough to satisfy Republicans.

I know, I know: Conservatives, they can't help themselves.

And now the Afrikaner stunt. At this point there's no denying Republican Party durability is about supremacism. And, honestly, we can only wonder at middle-road idiots who spent the last decade trying to pretend otherwise.

No, we don't really wonder. They're just a bunch of fucking racists.

So you are agreeing with me, great. I'm not arguing for anything the Republicans or Democrats have done or not done.

Would you prefer we sit meekly with our hands folded and watch 47 set the Constitution on fire, stoke inflation, alienate allies, bully anyone questioning him and curtail publicly supported scientific research? Not sure what you really want here. You still haven't explained what you perceived as deranged in (what seem to me) the fairly sober assessments of 47’s actions and job performance. I mean, this IS a politics thread, so not sure what you would be expecting.

And RFKJr ...well, it's almost as if he's deliberately striving to serve up the most perfect metaphor for his administration.

The US health secretary, Robert F Kennedy Jr, has revealed that he went swimming with his children in a Washington DC creek that authorities have said is toxic due to contamination by an upstream, ageing sewer system.

The “Make America healthy again” crusader attracted attention for the Mother’s Day dip in Dumbarton Oaks Park with his grandchildren Bobcat and Cassius, which he posted about on X. He was also accompanied by relatives Amaryllis, Bobby, Kick and Jackson.

Rock Creek, which runs through the federal park, is described as unsafe for swimming or wading because it acts as a runoff for excess sewage and storm water during rain storms...

The renewing (after being done away with by the Biden administration) of the Trump 1st term formed "Abraham Accords" count Israel in as well Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordon, Morocco, and more.

An estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said the proposals would reduce the number of people with health care by at least 7.6 million from the Medicaid changes, and possibly more with other changes to the Affordable Care Act.

I'm not an expert on politics, but doesn't taking health care away from people tend to make them not vote for your party?

It won't matter to the GOP, though, as they either have already, or will, disenfranchise those voters, being the poorer people who won't be able to afford the proper voter ID etc.

The renewing (after being done away with by the Biden administration)
Not exactly.

After Trump left office, in February 2021, State Department spokesperson Ned Price said that "the United States will continue to urge other countries to normalize relations with Israel" and that normalization is "not a substitute for Israeli-Palestinian peace... We hope that Israel and other countries in the region join together in a common effort to build bridges and... contribute to tangible progress towards the goal of advancing a negotiated peace between Israelis and Palestinians."[45] Axios reported in March 2021 that the Biden administration supports widening the normalization process to other countries and that it prefers the term "normalization process" to "Abraham Accords".[46][47] In March 2021, a group of 18 US senators introduced a bill to aid the State Department in developing an appropriate strategy "to strengthen and expand the Abraham Accords and other related normalization agreements with Israel."[48]

The normalization agreements were criticized by citizens of the four Arab states that signed the accords as well as many citizens of other Arab countries, especially because they failed to make progress resolving the Palestinian conflict. The criticism increased in May 2021 after violent protests erupted in Jerusalem, Hamas fired rockets into Israel, and Israel retaliated with airstrikes on Gaza.[49][50] A Fatah Central Committee member said the Abraham Accords, were "one of the reasons" for the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas on Israel.[51]

Nobody will sign up to those accords while Israel is committing genocide and/or ethnic cleansing in Gaza. Forget it.

Given the fair number of lower income rural people who vote GOP, I can imagine that these disenfranchisement efforts will backfire.

Illegal aliens aren't supposed to be voting anyway. Nor having their healthcare charged to the rest of us in addition to our own. Democrats celebrate them as a special interest class above all others but the power elites of the Party . . . and give the rest of us the shaft in the doing.

ignoranCan you provide some real examples here, not just fabulated bullshit you pulled out of your ass?
The attack on the federal facility in Newark, NJ. The indictment made against the judge in Wisconsin, the radically ignorant doctrinaire anti-Semitism on fanatically radical display in America's elite universities, and much more.... The screaming cries of your fellow radicals for insurrection, for overthrow of an elected Executive, and an elected Legislative, Branch (elections being "peaceful revolutions"). The cries for the overthrow of the Constitution and Rule of Law. The proof in the pudding of rogue courts, not given the right, moving to usurp the authorities and powers of those senior branches in the Constitution.

They're not.

So how much can we increase your taxes once they leave, and we lose that tax income? Or do you want someone else to take care of that?

The indictment made against the judge in Wisconsin

So your example of violent crime is a woman who helped a man in her courtroom escape armed thugs, and you think that's the same as a man who murders dozens of people in Trump's name.

You are not like me.

That was you.

And it's notable that when you didn't like the election you killed cops, looted and vandalized the Capitol, and rioted for hours. When democrats do it - they demonstrate peacefully.

I prefer democratic means of change. You prefer crime and violence. Another way we are quite different.

The Medicaid restriction would remove American citizens from the rolls. Try to keep up. No one was referring to undocumenteds voting, in the discussion. This was about Medicaid cutbacks to Americans.

, the radically ignorant doctrinaire anti-Semitism on fanatically radical display in America's elite universities,
You mean people peacefully protesting against ethnic cleansing and Geneva Convention violations in Gaza?? I don't think that's anti-Semitic, just anti Likud policy. Somewhere around 60% of Jews in the US also support ending the Gaza war and recognizing a Palestinian state - does that make them anti-Semitic?
