Trump 2.0

Yeah, I believe you.

Tone matching.

The subject you said you're not interested in discussing, you mean? Well, nothing.

What debate?

I guess so. Thanks for saying so, Seattle!
You might be a little too jaded. What do you think? I actually don't have any more Bitcoin and have changed my mind due to performance.

In other news, Trump may be watching Hungary quite closely over the next week or so, as the country head to the polls, and his "fantastic" "strongman" fellow wannabe dictator Victor Orban is at risk of losing control for the first time in c.16 years.

However, it may not be the polls that Trump pays most attention to, but rather the efforts underway to possibly build sympathy for Orban's struggling party, and perhaps to delay and/or cancel the elections entirely.

"In recent weeks Hungarian security experts have raised the possibility of a staged operation, either on Hungarian or Serbian territory, intended to arouse enough sympathy for Orban to help his Fidesz party win the election - or to give Orban an excuse to declare an emergency and postpone or cancel the vote."

And, right on cue, the Serbian military found 2 backpacks of explosives next to the main gas pipeline into Hungary from Russia. Serbia is ruled by a close ally of Trump, so guess would be more than happy to play along.

JD Vance is in Hungary right now, learning the ropes as it were. I predict that this is precisely what the Trump regime intend to do, come November. We--in the US--are well and truly fucked. And 35 percent of the populace are fully on board with this, every step of the way. Some, as we've seen here, are cagey about it for reasons not entirely clear to me, but most are quite open about their support for this.

If secession were somehow a viable option, it would seem the best route. Yet at the same time, who wants to have these people as their neighbors?

Orban is likely to lose, unless he pulls off something spectacular to derail the process. So yeah, maybe Vance wants to see what ideas he has. He has already fabricated a threat to blow up a gas pipeline. First step to a “state of emergency”, perhaps? But quite hard to pull that one in the USA, from what I understand.

Well, Trump certainly makes a fairly plausible candidate for the Antichrist.

Funny you should mention that. I said the same thing here on Sci back in 2016, in a thread titled "Coming of the Anti-Christ..."

Is this another Donald Trump thread?

It was an off-hand comment, intended to be humorous. Somehow, it's no longer quite so funny...

Is that you, Nostradamus? :)

Was hilarious to hear him speak about how the EU was intefering with Hungary's election... while he stood on stage with Orban, ostensibly interfering with the Hungarian election.

Melania Trump's statement about Epstein was curious, especially the timing of it. It almost looked like a calculated, yet totally deniable, way to resurrect the Epstein issue in the public mind, after the preoccupation with Iran. If I were Trump I think I would see this intervention as what they call "unhelpful".

I sometimes wonder if Melania is a hostage in her marriage to Trump and that she would quite like to see him fall and get out. Perhaps especially now that he is clearly going nuts and may be physically fading too.

Thought she looked very bad physically.

Apparently this woman has a grievance with Melania Trump

She was deported a while back and has strong connections to Trump circles that were queered when she was divorced and got into a custody battle with her ex husband.
She was on the Lolita express and seems to have got the same kind of a visa that Melania did.

I think I remember her deportation but there is so much going on that they all blend in now.

Some threatening attacks on Melania by her on twitter.

Maybe this has something to do with this new public statement.

I recall The Hill reported that Melania privately growled over her husband's demolition of the East Wing. Shallow as she seems to be, I detect glimmers of basic decency from her. I wondered if her outrageous demand for 70% of the budget of her documentary (20-something million) was partly to amass more nest egg for single life. The Epstein statement seems like another bit of prep for an undocking maneuver.

Yes she may sense the wheels are now coming off his presidency and she won’t be able to rely on his power to protect her much longer, so some independent positioning moves would be prudent. There seem to rumours of dissension in the White House administration, possibly concerned with how to manage Trump’s mental decline. I have the impression his decline is becoming a subject of public speculation over there.

Trump has now promised to “pardon everyone who has come within 200 feet of the Oval [Office].”

So he wants you to do a crime, you do it, and he'll give you immunity from punishment. Is this how the Presidency will now operate going forward? Is there anything that Congress can do?
The only possibility, in such cases, to prosecute someone in his administration will therefore be in the State courts, but, yeah, good luck with that.

Looking forward to an even more lawless and emboldened administration. :/
