True Facts about Time & infinite parallel worlds.

infinitethoughts,

It was certainly clear that you were not trying to advocate some mainstream view, but I maintain that one should be careful when using the word dimension. For example, you have made the statement in your previous post that our current understanding of quantum theory forces us towards the concept of extra dimensions. This is simply not the case. Now, extra dimensions do arise in some contexts within quantum theory, but as I have indicated they have nothing do with what you suggest. It is quite generally necessary to have a common language when trying to make progress in a discussion, otherwise we end up talking around each other as I'm sure you are aware. In this case, the word dimension carries with it a lot of meaning and context which you have chosen to eschew. Consciousness when viewed as a manifestation of some "dimension" must be quite unlike anything else we would nominally associate with dimensions, yet you seem to equate them wholesale. You can clearly dream as you like (and you certainly don't need my permission either ;) ), I am simply trying to avoid muddy language.

I dunno doesn't seem muddy to me. As I understand the word dimensions its generally understood as starting from the simple to the complex. IE: a point, then a horizontal line, then vertical line, then a triangle, then a square, then a cube etc, etc, etc, becoming more and more complex.

Whats interesting about consciousness is 1)it is the most complex thing on this plane. 2)nobody has ever discovered it's location.

Now in the context I mentioned above how the general consensus is we have 3 dimensions here, and they seem to get progressively complex, and in all the time humanity has been on this plane, the exact location of consiousness has not been found, I put forth the theoretical idea that consciousness is not located on this "level" and may be located on a different level or dimension.
