Ha, I suspected as much. Thanks for the tip-off.scienceforums.net
is back up.
The cheque's arrived.
Thought of you the other day when this book popped up at the Gutenberg site:Ha, I suspected as much. Thanks for the tip-off.
I see though it was written in 1920. So presumably Ross must have died 70 years ago, in 1955. Could be interesting to see how it was viewed back then, when the motor car was just becoming widely available for the first time. Think Laurel and Hardy’s Model T.Thought of you the other day when this book popped up at the Gutenberg site:

Still consider. Dip your toe in.But I’ve taken a quick look now and it’s a possibility
Cloudflare blew up again today, taking out Muskie’s X and a lot of other sites. My guess is that’s what it is, and they have to wait for Cap’n Wotsisface to get out of bed and do a restart or something, now that Cloudflare is, allegedly, working once more.....and it's down again!
Can't be a DN issue, that bill got paid in October. I ran one analysis that said there might be a problem with InVision Community server, but then I went to InVision and everything was copacetic there, showing normal activity.
I really hope this isn't related to some wrench-tossing by the Silly Party. You never know what Old Biscuitbarrel and his cronies are up to, when it comes to messing with our nation's infrastructure. I'm hoping it's just some temp outage from the winter storms rolling across the U.S.
Ah, you have more information than I then. I just saw it was down when I tried it at about 0700 GMT.The SF net outage began yesterday, late afternoon US Mountain Time (UTC -7). And InVision reported no problems during the Cloudflare outage (which was about half an hour). But...maybe. Could be some earlier cascade of effects which eventually took out CF the following morning.
Yeah noticed that.....and it's down again!

Wow. That is a thing of wonder and fierce beauty. I hope it's been archived somewhere, in case the plug gets pulled from RW.considering their extensive article on The Orange One: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Donald_Trump
Yeah I’m almost tempted to copy paste the whole of it into a document to file, just in case. I fear it may only be a matter of time before one of Trump’s gauleiters gets round to purging or DOS-disabling such inconvenient websites. But no doubt they will work on the most widely consulted outlets first and RW is fairly obscure, I suppose.Wow. That is a thing of wonder and fierce beauty. SFN still down. Everything I'm seeing says the Cloudflare related downings were pretty brief, so not sure what's going on.
BTW, Capt. Refsmmat (SFN's admin) is an old NASA reference...

I thought it had been very quiet there over the past day or so-and wondered if some servers might have gone down that served diferent global regions..net offline again, at 2228GMT 21/12/25.
There is now a message saying the web hosting service has been discontinued due to a flood of bots and that the site is looking for an alternative host. Pretty alarming - and strange for such an obscure website.Third outage in a span of two months. Starting to wonder about the new webhost.
