The Supreme Conciousness?

I got some of these ideas form the thought of a perfect society.

Imagine we finaly invent AI, a computer able to find and repair it's own flaws, to evolve in an inteligent way. Ofcourse we have our leash for it and make it solves all our problems and builds machines that do all our work, then in the end (theoreticaly) we download our conciousness into the machine to live in a world where we controll every single aspect of our lives.
We become a supreme conciousness that is capable of experiencing absolutely anything that it chooses. Now I would expect this total loss of boundrarys would drive any conciousness totaly insane, not having any meaning in existing and not being able to end it's existence.
This would cause the conciousness to create a world where boundrarys exist just for the sake of creating one and not having anything else to do. Also because the human mind cannot comprehend a world without limits, we would naturaly assume them.

What if the world we're living in is nothing but a conciousness telling itself that a world exists. That I, you or we? are that conciousness.
It is interesting also thinking about the idea that this conciousness had the possibility to split itself into experiencing it's world from 6 Billion different perspectives with individual thoughts and feelings.
In my scenario I assumed this conciousness is human in origin, but it would be more plausible(in the sense that *this* world is a result of this) that it is something way above human and that 'human' is just something that it created for itself. Lets call it god, buddah, or alah etc.
Are WE god?

And don't give me any :m: becasue I clearly said 'what if?'

Damn, that is one cool what-if! I thrive on what-ifs. Probably make a killer Matrix sequel! So that would mean you and I are the same consciousness, we're just choosing not to connect the 2 pieces of the puzzle for the sake of needed boundries. Very cool...

P.S. Curious, were you on :m: when you thought of this?? :D

dammit, not Solipsism again....

'What if'!!!
Besides If I was a Solipsist I would believe that I was the only thing that existed, what I'm suggesting/immagining that we are all truely one and the same conciousness and the world we exist in is created by us. (I don't know, what's it's -ism?)
We are oblivious to our own creation, maybe we only think we are oblivious, or simply oblivious to our own obliviousness. With the purpouse of creating a meaningfull existence for ourselves.
What is meaning anyway?? it can't be defined!

And I'm just hypothesising, and I never realy actualy firmly believe anything that I come up with, they're just ideas.

P.S. Curious, were you on when you thought of this??
Nope, but I am now. :p :D- oO0( )

 - :m: -

moonman,

Cool. Let's add it with my thread "The Meaninglessness of Conversation and The Puzzle of Life" and we may get something even cooler... :D:);)

Imagine if we are indeed this Supreme Consciousness and that we limit ourselves by giving ourselves a mind, a will and many emotions. We limit ourselves in those little bodies and spread ourselves all over, as if we were the pieces of a puzzle. We have to help each other to try to figure out who we are, and without using our own conscience, our own knowledge. We set this puzzle up and life becomes really interesting...! We just have to remember ourselves and try to go back to that state of being. Now, that's amusing... :D:D Much better than be completly limitless... ;)

moonman,

What is meaning anyway?? it can't be defined!

The meaning of life is life itself. Life's meaningfullness resides in its own meaninglessness. :)

Edit: which creates endless possibilities...

Hey well done TS. At last you said something remotely logical. ;)

Anyways which book did you cut it from? :) :)
