So, let me see if I'm following this. I express support for compassionate laws which allow MAID (medical aid in dying), tell you the states where you can get this, suggest you support legislation to further these laws... but I'm just a hypocrite lacking compassion?

Euthanasia along with appropriate laws is legal in near all Australian states.

He told you places you could go if you wanted that. Sounds fairly compassionate.

Would you have preferred a hearty "FUCK YOU!" ? Would that have made him seem more compassionate?

You shouldn't need laws. You could let the person with or without their doctor make the decision and be able to get the drugs without government restrictions or other interference. Your laws are just a cover for restricting access no matter how compassionate they seem.

No, that would make him seem like he really appears to be. I shouldn't have to go anywhere but to the drug store to get what I need, except for antibiotics.

I shouldn't have to go anywhere but the local Best Buy to get the electronics I need, and I shouldn't need to go anywhere but the local Home Depot to get the solar stuff I need - but here we are, living in a capitalism that doesn't care what you want unless it makes them lots of money.
