I like the way they mention franchising without actually saying 'East/West'!
I guess they can afford lawyers
They are circus tricks that anyone can learn and have nothing to do with fighting, Harry Houdini used to do that “I can take a blow trick”, and unexpected blow ruptured his appendix and caused his death.
Take my word for it these are gimmicks that tradition martial arts (Kung Fu mainly) love to do as proof of how effective a certain styles are.

Isn't there a wide variety of things that one might do to a grappler in a "street fight" that are forbidden in UFC fights? I'm thinking of things like striking downward toward the spine/back of neck with your elbow as the grappler rushes you, gouging his eyes which he chokes you, etc. I don't really know much about grappling to be honest, so I wonder how much it affects the grappler's strategy when he knows his opponent can't do that sort of thing. Does it encourage him to try things he wouldn't be likely to do in a "real" fight?Havent found any yet but this is something I'm curious about.
Most likely what happens in Kung-Fu vs MMA is the MMA guy rushing forward and neutralizing any striking techniques with an arm lock to the head, torso or legs.
Once the fight is on the ground its all over.

I'm pretty sure there is indeed a rule in UFC that you can't strike downward to the spine/back of the neck with your elbow. I'm certainly not an expert on this kind of thing, but it seems to me that if they banned it, it was probably because they thought there was an unacceptably high chance of serious injury...what other reason could they have for banning it?The elbow strike to the back of the neck has never prevented a grappler from doing a takedown, for the simple fact that that particular part of the body is extremely resilient. There is nothing in the rules of an MMA fight that forbids someone from doing this, its just that it doesn’t work as well as some people think it does.

Fucking 'A' dude, how many people are going to kick an old man down in his own Quoon?
Although I have shown disrespect for a Sensei who was a bullshitter when I was studying Jiu Jitsu, and I smacked him in the face. He asked me to, so I did, I did not pull my punch, and I certainly didn't telegraph it like other students did. I think he learned more than me that day.

If you Google martial art sites you’ll find many people claiming superpower that can be gained from their style of fighting these are all are Bull. If you want to look on Youtube or watch UFC 1 to 3 you’ll see how Traditional so called Grandmasters fare against real fighters.
Have a look at the martial arts social group.
Here is a link to one traditional master who was dumb enough to issue an actual challenge.

But it seems to work well when he does it with his own guys.

My favourite part of that series was the pinkie wrestling sword master!Dunno if you saw the series 'Mind, Body and Kick Ass Moves' (BBC) but Sifu Leung Ting 'outed' a few vagabond tricks on there.
Apparently the idea is it improves "Chi"
