So porfiry what do you have in mind? Are you going to make any changes or anything? I was just wondering...

It's great the way it is but it has changed a few times, the title of threads for instance (when you click on them and are actually reading them). What else is in store?
 
Pollux V, as you noted on the “Poll: /777” thread finding a specific post within a thread is tedious. It would be cool if searching took one to a specific post.

Hamster, if you select "Show results as posts" when entering your search criteria, it does give you that level of detail.

Well, if we're talking aesthetically, I intend to revise the graphics of the site to be a bit more uniform.

If we're talking functionally, there's not too much. Minor changes here and there.

If we're talking content-wise, I've been toying with the idea of religionforums.com which would become the home for the religious debate forums, allowing sciforums to remain more on topic.
 
I duno Porfiry if it's such a good idea. Many after a discussion on lets say genetics on biology, latter talk about its moral charecteristics on phylosophy and or religion forums. Yes I know, they (fundies) sometimes (ok ok always) are annoying, but they give a little spice to this place, don't you think?
But these are your forums and I shall respect you choice, wahtever it is (BUT DON'T EVEN TRY TO CLOSE SCIFORUMS, I would be exceptionally mad if this would happen;) )

In my humble opinion...

I think if you are looking to revise the appearance of the GUI I think more rounded corners and few but selective additions of colour.

I duno, I like the GUI.
From my experience as web designer -> you have to find a place to stop, because if too much graphics - it would distracta attention which is very needed here @ sciforums on those hard to understand topics which frequently appear.
