The coronavirus response seems somewhat suspicious.

Also, in many cases it is probably more due to being scared of the vaccine
Not if you listen to the idiots who hold anti vax rallies

For them it appears to be about their misguided idea about some mystical freedom they apparently have which in lowly Minions have only in a weakened form

These freedom owners do not live in a world of responsibility

:)

It's not bs. They can stay away from places where they would be likely to come into close contact with the unvaccinated if they want. Also, everyone is entirely selfish. What of it? You sound like you are getting emotional. I think you need a chill pill. Why would I lose my leg from coronavirus? Also, I have heard that there is this brilliant vaccine to protect them. Nay, several.
Selfishness is a real curse in the modern USA. Your attitude is a prime example. And I speak my mind, especially when it is a matter of serious illness and even death.

It is primarily the unvaccinated that put the lives of others at risk, (chiefly other unvaccinated people, of course). Contrary to what you say, there is no way of telling if an individual you encounter in a shop, or on public transport, or at a restaurant or cinema, has been vaccinated or not.

So every citizen is at the mercy of selfish idiots, who refuse to lift a finger to reduce the chance of infecting them.

The first one. Not the second one. If the restaurant is not safe, people should probably find another instead to avoid its danger.
I was asking about the workers at the restaurant. You know, the single mom's who have kids to feed. People like that. Once again, are you really this ignorant or are you a troll?

Okay. So there should be restrictions about who has clearance to where in such cases.
They are working on them. MOST places where people are exposed to vulnerable people who can't leave (hospitals, nursing homes, schools) require MOST people who come in to be vaccinated. But there are a lot of exceptions, and there are also a lot of people fighting as hard as they can to get those requirements removed because "my freedom!"

Well, the citizen can go and hide in a hidey hole and take all of their impositions with them I guess, or just go to the many places the un vaccinated aren't allowed, which contrary to what you say gives everyone a great way to tell who has been vaccinated and who hasn't been.

Everyone is selfish, but I actually try to be kind when I see no risk to myself in doing so.
Also, most coronavirus anti vaxxers probably aren't idiots. They're probably just scared of the vaccine like you are scared of the virus.
Well done for speaking your mind, just next time, perhaps be slightly less biased and angry.

Okay. So there should be arguments to the contrary of such restrictions impeding their justified freedoms.

Language barrier ie comprehension? Not good for a supposed want to be author

:)

I'm not stupid. I interpreted determine consent in this context to mean persuade to agree to be in the restaurant, or figure out the extent to which one wants to be in the restaurant.

If you didn't realize this then you are stupid.

Okay. But they don't have many freedoms, because those freedoms are gradually being degraded in the name of hindering the spread of the virus.

Ah the ol' difference between rape and seduction

I have never put a count on how many freedoms a person has. What would your estimate be?

Could you give a example of a degraded freedom? How about a country not allowing a unvaccinated person to visit? Ummm but that applies to every single Australian. Can a Australian person change the loss of such freedom?

Yes become vaccinated. Well, says the freedom fighter, I didn't want to go to that country anyway

So turns out said freedom fighter is NOT affected, since they themselves have declined said freedom

Strange fighting for a freedom they have declined

:)

You've got to learn to trust people.

Like that Isaac Newton guy. Man, he was an asshole but, dang he knew his shit!

They're probably just scared of the vaccine like you are scared of the virus.

How many of those "scared of the vaccine" freedom fighters people do you estimate smoke?

How many, with all the known diseases smoking inflicts on the body, are scared of smoking?

How long did it take (in Australia) for smoking to be banned in places (work, shopping malls, cars with children, all Government places)?

Don't recall said "scared of the vaccine" freedom fighter smokers putting up much resistance. They are engaged in a fake my freedom war

:)

Oh, there are nearly infinite arguments. But the risk persists.

Can you list all the freedoms they have lost as a result of fighting the pandemic?

I was going to ask the same but I could not think of any lost freedom applying to anti vaxers which was not a own goal

:)

Just various freedoms of movement, like for instance when pretty much the whole world was in lock down. Also, I have heard that some people are losing the right to determine what happens to their own properties, for instance with restaurants not being allowed to serve the unvaccinated.
Not many freedoms are being degraded here yet, I concede, but I take all of this as a warning sign against totalitarianism.

Anyway, your first point pertains to my earlier point in my other thread: Could we create the perfect world? about teaching people to be able to think effectively.

Yes, as per your implication people may not always be afraid of what is harmful to them. This is probably especially true if that harmful thing is addictive, like a cigarette.

What do you mean by a fake my freedom war?
