They need to change the rule on the number of people who can share the Nobel.
None of the CERN team who verified the existence of the Higgs Boson received a prize.
It was a collaborative effort, and choosing three people was unfair.

Join the crowd;

"I think it's wrong," Anders Barany, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences told AFP, commenting after the decision Tuesday, which was delayed for an hour due to "a lot of discussion."

"I think those experimental researchers have done incredibly fantastic work and should be rewarded."

Peter Higgs of Britain and Francois Englert of Belgium won the Nobel Prize for Physics for theoretical work on a particle that explains why the Universe has substance.

The presumed particle was discovered last year by a mega-scale physics lab near Geneva operated by the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), after a decades-long search.

Many had expected the lab to share the Nobel Prize, however it was only mentioned in a brief note accompanying the decision.

"This has never been done before. It's a fine recognition but I don't think it's enough," said Barany.

"It's too watered down, too little to be only mentioned in the text like that. I think it's very clumsy with that kind of text."

Although the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to organisations in the past, that has never occurred with the science prizes.

Can you imagine having a fundamental particle of nature named after you?! It's like you'll be part of the universe forever and ever. What an honor!

They actually only chose two people when they could have chosen three. Maybe when they go broke and don't have to give them the millions of dollars that comes with it they will be able to include more people. I don't think they should break the bank just over one single discovery. I think the only reason why two people got it was because they came out with the same theory only months apart.

I guess Peter Higgs was lucky that they named the particle after him. To me it seems strange that they never really announced that they did prove it was the Higgs boson and just not a Higgs-Like boson. Then they did say that they require experimental proof of a theory to award the Nobel Prize, so I guess this may be indirect evidence that this was actually done. I don't know if anyone has found more information about this recently...

They could have given the third Nobel to CERN as an organisation.

They won't award a prize to a deceased person either.
Which is why Rosalind Franklin, the crystallographer, did not get a Nobel in 1962 with Watson and Crick.
Grossly unfair. I'm still annoyed about that.

Perhaps they could scrap that idiotic Peace Prize,
and then they would have enough money.
If that Malala wins it, I'll have to stop watching the news for a few days.
Her voice is intensely annoying.

Perhaps they could scrap that idiotic Peace Prize . . . .
The Nobel Prize is a Swedish institution. Unlike our countries, they take peace seriously.

I think it's okay to have just one rather small country like that on this whole fucking war-mongering planet.

Even the goddamned Buddhists are fighting!

Humans suck. I'm gonna go hug my puppy.

You did not give me the Peace Prize. OK. You had your chance.
But now you will see the bad side of Malala.

Why did you provoke Malala?

They could have a huggiest puppy prize.
