Sounds reasonable enough to me: These things are largely determined by social and cultural forces. Notice, however, that the atheist -- apparently immune to the social and cultural forces which afflict lesser mortals -- almost never applies the same reasoning to himself:

"If you're born and raised in an atheist community then you're probably an atheist."
