"Suicide of the British nation"

This week, the ONS (Office for National Statistics) published data on births during 2025. For the first time, over 40 per cent of children born in England and Wales had at least one foreign-born parent. This rate has risen from 34 per cent in 2021, pre-Boriswave.

Matt Goodwin: New UK school data out today. % of school pupils who are white British: 2015: 69%, 2016: 68.3%, 2017: 66.9%, 2018: 66.1%, 2019: 65.4%, 2020: 64.9%, 2021: 63.9%, 2022: 62.6%, 2023: 61.3%, 2024: 60.3%, 2025/6: 59.7%. All consistent with Suicide of a Nation.

White British children are now minority in one in four schools: Department of Education figures follow predictions that white Britons will be a minority in the next 40 years

White people blocked from jobseeker schemes

I wonder whether the Britons have any possibility to vote for politicians who at least talk about this?

If any of this were true ( and a lot of Reddit is not) how would it constitute “suicide” of the nation? Surely it would just be demographic change? To show suicide, you would have to produce evidence of why demographic change destroys the “nation”. Whatever is meant by “nation”.

My son has one foreign-born parent and I have a nephew and a niece whose maternal grandparents were Indian so you could call them “mixed race”. Very good looking kids actually. All three have been brought up British, attended good British universities and are an asset to the nation. Their existence doesn’t undermine it.

This mixing is what you get in a former imperial power, that speaks one of the most widely learnt languages in the world, in an era of cheap international travel. People mix. And we are all culturally and genetically richer for it. My son speaks four languages and has two passports as a result of his background. How is that disadvantageous to Britain?

Instead of Islamophobia or whatever paranoid ethnicism is fermenting here, think of Bosnia-Herzegovina as a positive example of the future. The gradual cultural mix or transition isn't going to turn post-Christian Europe into Afghanistan or some lingering bastion of ISIS. There's too much history behind the West's secular government stance to dislodge that feature. If the below can emerge and be sustained in the traditional Muslim world, then certainly it's going to be maintained in the extended one, in the birthplace of the Enlightenment.

Many Muslim-majority nations have adopted secular governance models, where religion is either separate from the state's legal and political systems or plays a limited role. These countries maintain a separation between Islamic law (Sharia) and civil law. Some salient examples...

1. Turkey ..... 2. Kazakhstan ..... 3. Azerbaijan ..... 4. Tunisia ..... 5. Albania ..... 6. Senegal ..... 7. Mali ..... 8. Kosovo ..... 9. Chad ..... 10. Indonesia

Are you an ex-pat shill for Reform UK? ;)

A Russian troll, I think, though he claims to be in Poland I believe. Russian trolls like to stir up far right sentiment.

Well, I live in a nation where a majority have at least one foreign born parent, grandparent (I have two) or great-grandparent. IIRC a census data analysis showed that Black Americans have the highest proportion of third-or-higher generation Americans. (Among non-indigenous peoples obv)

Go wank yourself somewhere else, Spathi/Linkey/Dmitriy or WtF your name is.

You literally quoted a politician talking about it (Matt Goodwin), one people had the opportunity to vote for but not enough did for him to win the seat.

Ironically, his party leader (Nigel Farage) has four children, all of whom have one foreign-born parent (as do the children of Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak as it happens) so it could well be a somewhat difficult topic for them. That's probably why getting them to talk about it isn't that difficult but getting them to discuss it seem to be much more difficult.

Do you want to discuss the topic or are you just going to just list other people talking about it (while complaining we're not allowed to talk about it)?

I don't understand your question. As expected, many Left-supporters here started criticizing me. Do you belong to their group too?

Hello, second time, rightie right here. What is your issue exactly? Too many blacks in the UK? Or just too many non whites? Or is it the fact they were not born here?
Or their parents were not born here?
Why is this a problem?
This recipe has been the case since people made boats.

The politics of respondents on this forum is not the issue here.

The point is that you have just listed a set of opinions, taken from Reddit etc, one of which comes from a political candidate who actually campaigned on these issues, but was rejected by the voters. So that on the face of it answers your question. Yes, there are plenty of politicians, in fact a choice of three parties, falling over themselves to parade their anti-immigrant credentials.

But as for "suicide" of the "nation", the case for that has not been made in anything you quote.

I suspect that these guys would agree with you.

Yah, goal-oriented colonization by another country or ethnic-slash-ideological population groups -- like Zionism and earlier Euro-state-sanctioned Christian missionary conversions -- is a different (or parallel?) matter. What benefits right-wing populism is that there is a tiny percentage of Muslims (fundamentalists or whatever) promoting such that the former can seize upon and amplify/portray as larger. (Just as there are some crazy segments that can be extracted from the past speeches of radical Israelis or Zionists by traditional antisemites over the decades.)

Political exploitation of left-wing populism's long-running advocacy of open borders kind of hilariously shoots itself in the foot since once the state becomes authoritarian (which can still occasionally happen in this era, as Venezuela illustrated), many people want to flee rather than migrate to the applicable country. And obviously capitalism itself runs its own opportunistic racket with regard to unauthorized migration, as pointed out below (as well as hijacking other "progressive" movements for its own purposes, over time).
  • Why socialists have always fought for open borders
    https://www.leftvoice.org/why-socialists-have-always-fought-for-open-borders/

EXCERPT: Liebknecht spoke for the then left-wing majority in the Socialist International. V.I. Lenin, writing in 1913, similarly argued that “only reactionaries can shut their eyes to the progressive significance of this modern migration of nations”. The Russian revolutionary observed how migration was “breaking down the musty, fusty habits of local life, breaking down national barriers and prejudices, uniting workers from all countries in huge factories and mines in America, Germany, and so forth”.

Stringent opposition to all restrictions on workers’ freedom of movement – this is the Marxist tradition. When the capitalists and their states use immigrant workers as wage squeezers and strikebreakers, our answer is to fight for equal rights and common organizations for all, with or without papers.

I'll criticise any flaws in the arguments you present (as I already have) but as constructively as possible.

I asked whether you're interested in a discussion because your OP was just a list of other's quotes and one slightly tangential rhetorical question. It isn't clear which aspects of the fairly broad topic you'd even want to discuss.

The UK is one of the most multicultural societies in the world. In London alone, over 300 languages are spoken. To some observers, this diversity can look like a problem to be solved. In reality, it’s a source of pride and success.

People have been coming to these islands for thousands of years. Each new wave has made us stronger. Our values and traditions haven’t disappeared, instead, we’ve benefited from the best that others bring, adding to our own. That has helped us grow, become better informed about the world beyond our shores, and more outward-looking and educated.

Immigrants who come here integrate into our society. Being white is simply irrelevant to being British. Who we are as a society isn’t the same as what any one individual may look like. Missing that distinction often reflects a limited understanding of what being British means.

We didn’t build the largest empire in human history alone, nor did we create the industrial revolution that underpins much of the modern world as a single racial identity. The movement to end the transatlantic slave trade, to me, our proudest achievement, was driven by many people of different backgrounds. We achieved these things because many peoples and races came together to make us strong, and that has never changed.
