Sublime film scores

Did you notice the French DJ in Wick IV? Taken from The Warriors. Nice homage.
My mate and I noticed that, similar premise, one gang/hit man all other gangs/hitmen have to stop him. I am pretty certain the version I saw on video a different song was played to a later version. This was one I cannot remember the other.

I thought this was incredible.
Very “effect” driven but listening like this with no dialogue it is actually a lot more structured than I thought.

Reminds of “Interstellar” that build up to 2.50 and you can hear the chords easily and has amazing vocals!

This clip is not the part I had in mind, it is the part where the debris first comes at them and you have that pulsating synth sound, very effective.
“Chernobyl” had a lot of that going, brilliant series if you have not seen it, just 5 parts.

If this is not one of your favourites then you aint got not soul!

What I love about this rendition is that you get to all the parts played and they do a great job recreating the sound.

They do “Interstellar” too.
The strange instrument he is playing that looks like an egg is an “Ocarina.”

Back to the late 80s.

This is what you can do with a few simple themes and brilliant orchestration.

Percussion section key in this.

It is strange how this was music was stark and sinister in the first film but kind of broke your heart in the second!

Well it did for me anyway.

Bottom line is the tune is very beautiful but that repeating rhythm makes everything so intense so I focused on that rather than the melody.

The storyline is more complicated in the second and changes his character and that sad melody came through.
