Spiritual reincarnation vs material reincarnation.

What if we could reincarnate spiritually instead of material (reincarnation). I cannot grasp reincarnation. Spiritual reincarnation makes sense to me but why die and then go through life or life's again to be born again good? Paul

to establish a different context (and thus grade) for happiness/distress to be meted out according to what one desires and deserves.

For instance it could be difficult to reap the benefits of truck loads of good karma as a cockroach .... or for that matter, slipping out of the human form of life affords greater opportunity for distress and suffering
