So tell me people, if I wrote a novel about lust and love and deceit, revenge and murder and the story revolved around an artist who paints erotic pictures for a living and is infatuated with whores and highly sexed women, would it be acceptable (or even expected) to include graphic descriptions of sexual acts, including fetishes and bdsm?

The novel is actually a kind of social commentary and parody of my country (no names), which imo has ‘sold out’ its morals to mammon and lust and is not intended to be pornographic or erotic per se, but there are plenty of passages that can probably raise a tent in some guy’s pants, so I was kinda wondering what you all think?

Think of Lady Chatterleys Lover and type away. :D
I'm always in favor of a boy with a tent in his pants :D:D

Perhaps a good idea might be to describe the sex and all, but in such a way that even those sex acts are basically analogies of societial/political comments. Turn every shag into some subtle or not-so-subtle, possibly funny, comment about whatever the story is about in general.
