As far as I can see, about half of famous Russian musicians and writers are against Putin and his war. All of them have relocated from Russia.
 
"Famous"? Never heard of them! ;). Frankly, none of them are particularly my cup of tea. The last isn't too bad, but the rest... :/
But always good to see dissent for political policies being voiced peacefully. Just a pity they presumably don't think they can do it safely in their own country.
 
Artists generally hate repressive authoritarian regimes, don't they? A bit like saying "water is wet." Thanks to Hitler, we got Marc Chagall, Max Ernst, Kurt Weill, Arnie Schoenberg, Andre Breton, Walter Gropius, Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer and dozens, maybe hundreds, of other noted artists. The fact that the United States was a beacon to so many creative people seeking the freedom to express their ideas and visions makes our present situation all the more painfully ironic.
