This idea intrigues me; it's more difficult to be consistently decent than rise to the occasion now and then to be 'heroic?'"Легче быть героем, чем порядочным человеком. Героем можешь быть иногда, а порядочным - всегда". А.П.Чехов.
~ Albert EinsteinThere are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
The best way is to be yourself, and do what you can do, when you can do it,This idea intrigues me; it's more difficult to be consistently decent than rise to the occasion now and then to be 'heroic?'
Beautiful as ever Wegs~ Albert Einstein
It doesn't sound like something Einstein would have said, however.Beautiful as ever Wegs
Something to check! I will feedbackIt doesn't sound like something Einstein would have said, however.
Actually if you have read a list of some of his quotes, it fits quite well.It doesn't sound like something Einstein would have said, however.
Well, if he actually said or wrote it, it should be possible to identify the source of the quote. Right? Can you do that?Actually if you have read a list of some of his quotes, it fits quite well.
Actually, you’re correct, James. I did a little research and it’s not a direct quote, rather it’s considered “apocryphal,” being attributed to him because of other (direct) quotes of his, that had a similar theme like this one: The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. It doesn't sound like something Einstein would have said, however.
Maybe nothing is a miracle if you're simply playing his so called "secular" persona position.Actually, you’re correct, James. I think he viewed “the mysterious” in this context as separate and away from spirituality/religion, but not 100% certain. Einstein seemed curious about spirituality though, in a broad sense, which doesn’t automatically lean towards one religion or faith belief over another.
Was it the word “miracle” from that quote I posted, that made you question the source?
Maybe. I believe in God but understand your point. In terms of morality, it's subjective, so no one should feel 'superior' to someone else.M

Maybe nothing is truly miraculous, but only natural and non God oriented. It's just a term utilized in many cultures across the globe. It doesn't require a religious utilization. You can still utilize the term as if there's no such thing, ya know. People utilize the term God that way, too. Mysterious may or may not have been the more appropriate and accurate quote. I doubt it, but you may be more moral than I am.
Actually, I was simply suggesting that you may hold a more correct or right position than I do. I like to dumb the term morality down to those basics. Error/Correct, wrong/right, false/true.Maybe.
