That's what I was gonna say. It's only Amazon. Even the article says it "At least according to an Amazon Japan poll.". Heh, "at least". ;)

Not only that, but one of the reasons why preorder sales are so high for the PS3 is because of the lack of supply for them. Sony won't be making very many PS3 at launch, so if you want one, you gotta get it NOW. It also helps PS3's had a set release date before the Wii did, so people knew for sure how long they had to wait for their pre-order. And I have no idea about Japan's Amazon, but the pre-order for the Wii on the U.S. Amazon has been closed.

And heck, I won't be buying my Wii system from Amazon -- I'll be able to grab one off the shelves. Yet another reason why the Wii can be low. No lack of supply to worry about. I'll even grab at least 5 games and a couple more controllers the week of launch. If it's as good as we all hope, I'll grab a few more that look interesting.

Hello

It depends on the type of games @ launch time the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast not to mention the X-box and X-box 360 all failed with me as NO RPGS were ever really released with them(no decent ones).
I have noticed that the PS3 has no rpg's with the launch yet Dragon Quest 9 + 10 will be made for the Wii. If Sony wants my money they have to bring in FF13 a lot sooner to win me over or at least an rpg of good gaming stock or they will lose as RPGS are the only type of game I really enjoy.
On the other hand if the Wii is backwards compatable to older systems then Nintendo will have a tough time doing rpgs as the best are only in Japanese. I know its unrealistic but the Wii should have a translating descambler as well so everyone can see how good these games really are.
Final Fantasy is NOT the be all and end of of this genie there are games that have bettered the series.

are you serious, i can name fable, KOTOR, KOTOR2 and elder scrolls morrowind just off the top of my head
and the first 3 all scored over 9/10 in every magazine i read
 
PS3 is getting lots of Pre-Orders....man I can't wait for PS3...I don't want to wave around my arms with a Wii I just want to relax and play a videogame
 
I was originally going to buy a PS3, but since there are only three games I'm interested in playing on it, I can't justify paying that much money for the system.

I've got my Wii pre-order, and I'm content with that.

Im very serious those games might have scored high but they are not the type of console RPG Im interested in. They are closer to PC style RPG'S and Dragon quest 9 + 10 are coming to the Wii.
