Proof that God does not exist.

Or a thread that may never end.

However I have been thinking about such a proposition and I am reasonably satisfied that one can prove God does not exist.

Perhaps we need to be a little more specific as to exactly what God we shall prove does not exist.

Believers seem to present their God as an entity that created everything and loves humans.

Should we include more or can we proceed to argue such a God does not exist.

Certainly of the thousands of Gods we need to narrow it down or maybe not...

And rules of proof need to be defined.

Should the proof be more than required by our law courts either criminal or civil proof. I think that level of proof should be acceptable to both sides.

It is said one can not prove a negative but I suggest by applying the same level of proof that we find in the court system the opportunity of proving God does not exist is reasonable.

Should the term God be further defined before the prosecution seeks to establish there is no God and who wishes to offer evidence both for and or against.

Subject to accepted refinement the proposition is The loving God does not exist and did not cause creation.

god is a being that has expression in any environment in which it can express this beings obvious presence .

Life is this beings presence .

Life is proof
river you are not getting in the mood of the game unless you are trying to be silly to prevent or slow the unfolding of the inevitable. If you are playing that way I can manage but I advise you not to be too silly else I play the same game with you.
But let me ask how does life prove what?
Can you contribute meaningfuly.

A dog is a being that has expression in any environment in which it can express its obvious presence. It is true of anything. Alas it doesn't actually say anything about what a dog is, nor that it actually exists.
Life is this beings presence .
Says who? Prove that they are correct.
If I say that God is my chair, point to my chair and go "therefore God exists", am I actually saying anything other than the fact that my chair exists, regardless of what I might label it? Similarly, all you are doing here is saying that life exists.

Perhaps you are arguing along the lines of:
God created life.
Life exists.
Therefore God exists.

Is this your approach?
If so it begs the question, as you have assumed God to exist in the premise.

May I speak Me Lord?

The evidence for life arising from non organic matter , ie non life is pure speculation

To be sure all the usual suspects were present at the scene
Water was there
The extended salts family
Various minerals with Calcium being the ring leader
Iron was also present

But to suggest this rag tag group colluded together and set up a process to produce life? Ludicrous

My clients were hanging around doing normal hanging around stuff such as not moving unless a force made them. Then they would stop moving if another force stopped them

Suddenly something dropped it the water. Water got all panickie and threw it up on the beach. They didn't pay much attention to it until it began to move on its own

So you see your honour it was something in the sky, a higher power if you will, dropped this life onto this planet and you cannot prove this higher authority does not exist

:)

And your argument in support of this proposition?
The proposition of a creator who loves humans has been presented as reality by those who contend that the Universe was created by an entity they call God.

The presentation I refer to has been offerred with no evidence in support such that the claim has no substance whatsoever and clearly the contention of a creator has never been established.
Given the time that has elapsed since this unrealistic claim has been presented without support of any kind it is reasonable to dismiss the claim as unfounded.
The existence of a God to be credible needs proof and a call from those who support the notion to prove that God does not exist is simply evading the reasonable requirement to offer evidence in support of the general claim that God exists other than as a made up non existent entity.

I am not the judge here or are you asking you know who...if you ask you know who you wont get an answer.
So you see your honour it was something in the sky, a higher power if you will, dropped this life onto this planet and you cannot prove this higher authority does not exist
Ok so have your first eye witness sworn in...hey there is a use for the bible after all...now pick it up and call in the witness.
Perhaps we can overlook swearing them in and just hear what they saw and who they saw...
Thank you for presenting such an interesting notion.
How many witnesses?
We need to plan a break for lunch.

Again, we don't have to prove that Santa doesn't exist.
We would have more difficulty in proving Santa does not exist..at least there have been many folk who have indeed seen him or at least someone impersonating him.
But its seems we wont have a similar problem with God as there is absolutely nothing...not even a view of someone impersonating God.

The best proof that there is no god is that all definitions of god are either incoherent or non-sensical.
