Holy smoke: Vatican bans duty-free cigarette sales

Pope Francis has ordered a ban on the sale of cigarettes inside the Vatican, beginning next year.

About 5,000 employees and retired staff of the Vatican are currently allowed to buy discounted cigarettes.

The sales are estimated to bring in millions of euros every year to the Vatican.

It seems pope does not like his staff going to heaven earlier than they need to

From the TV news it seems that will cost Vatican 10 million profit a year

But because it is harming people's health it's the right thing to do

Haha...because it's the Catholic Church! Late to the game is their name. Still trying to prevent the use of condoms in Africa, selling discounted cigarettes, banning books 200 years past the time when anyone else would....change is not for them...
