Point of view in dreams?

What is your dream Point of View?

In some of my dreams, I view the environment just as I do when awake. Id est: I do not see myself; I see other people & the environment from my normal waking point of view.

In other dreams, I watch myself having experiences. My point of view is usually from a point perhaps ten feet above the ground, behind, & to the right of the me being observed.

In these latter dreams, the me being observed is usually doing something embarassing, but seems oblivious to the erratic behavior. For example, I might view myself naked walking across a college campus & attending classes. Nobody seems to notice or comment on my lack of clothing. The me doing the observing has feelings of embarassment.

What is your point of view when dreaming?
 
This is very interesting. Why do you want to find out what other people point of view is?
 
That is interesting. My POV is both also. But I ALWAYS see beside myself when I have nightmares. The last nightmare I had I was a murderer and I kept killing/shanking people.
But It was scary because all the people I killed forgave me before they died, so I didn't know why I kept killing them when they forgave me already. Idk what the deal is with POVs but I think your right in suspecting they make a difference in the meaning of a dream.

Sometimes its the same as my waking state. At other times, its like a movie, but in these I am usually some other person.

Partially due to an interest in consciousness.

I have no doubt that others are conscious (self aware), but have no objective proof of that belief. Aside from my belief in the validity of mathematics, it is the only strong belief I have which is not supported by any objective evidence or logical analysis.

Thinking about consciousness makes me interested in the thoughts & inner perceptions of others.
 
As much as I remember I've always had my awake point of view in my dreams,but once I remember I saw myself falling in a dream,but the picture is not that clear on my mind and it dates back a long-time.
 
Jung teaches us that all of the people in our dreams are various components of our own personality. The exceptions are people who have been major parts of our lives for so long that they live inside us, like parents or a spouse of twenty years.

So it doesn't matter whether you're looking out from a body that resembles yours and seeing bodies that don't, or vice versa. Unless it's your father or the wife with whom you just celebrated a silver anniversary, they're all you.

can you count the moles on your back? lol

some would say you were trying to dissasociate yourself from the embarrasing content of your dreams is why you see in the second person perspective..
 
I was using a 1911 to put holes in the head of some kind of monster just before waking this morning.

Man that was a sweet piece too, the old steel sight military issue. And I was Annie fucking Oakley on that shit too.
