True, atmospheric sound needs a fluid like our gas mixture to have pressure periodic variations

interesting indication, that kind of a standing wave condition exists on the orbit of Jupiter, 5,2 AU, 2600 light seconds in radius, holding the 3 lagrange points 3,4. and 5,

The medium that allows gravitational waves to spread is space itself. space dimensions are not a medium like a solid substance or a fluid. Waves ca exist in free particles, clouds too.

BH might be dimensionless, and can at the outset, be the result of a contracting star, or many. The picture I put up was to show that there is structure, density waves associated with these magnetic fields around with such masses.
The second link dealt with the opposing flows of infalling mass onto a protostar. and the outgoing radiation, the wind that clears the area of much debris.
These opposing flows can, as happens in our atmosphere, create standing wave patterns, even rogue waves.
