There are a number of people as I recall, who criticise that book as mostly superficial bunk. I read it years before college, and never really sent back to see which side I agreed with, but I do remember a lot of vitriol.

That is no different than Hindus, Buddhists, and Taoists get from Christian church leaders, who may be scientists too. When I was doing my graduate studies, we had many Indian and Chinese students. There were two professors that did everything to convert them...and the vitriol from them was very interesting. As Chinese and Indian civilization takes off, this will change in time...may be in another 50 years....
