Yes, it would look horrific if you didn't know the background. You bombed and killed the civilian population of Donbas for eight years, and no one in the world except Russia cared. Even Europe, the "conscience of the world," slept soundly. Although the whole world saw footage from Odessa, where people were burned alive in the Trade Union Building, and those who tried to escape by jumping out of windows were finished off on the ground with iron bars by fascist thugs. I also remember footage of a murdered woman who was eight months pregnant, who was abused and then also killed that day. These murdered and tortured people committed no crime; they simply wanted to speak their native language. (For those who don’t know, I’ll now give you a little excursion into history. Historically, Ukraine never existed as a separate state until Lenin and the Bolsheviks created it artificially. These were Russian lands, and most of the inhabitants living in these lands spoke Russian. Lenin separated these areas into a separate republic within the USSR and called it Ukraine, which translates as “outskirts”. Then, after the Second World War, Stalin annexed the western regions that were taken from Poland and Hungary to Ukraine. And Khrushchev, having no right to do so, gave the Russian island of Crimea to Ukraine. But then they gave up on it, because it was still the USSR. But western Ukraine always spoke its own Ukrainian language, while eastern Ukraine and Crimea spoke Russian. And with the collapse of the USSR, these problems came to light. Western fascist elements began to impose their rules on people from the eastern parts of Ukraine. When a candidate from the eastern regions was elected president of Ukraine, they caused riots in Kyiv, and violently The legally elected president was ousted. Donbass was outraged and rebelled against this state of affairs, and its own militias began to form. People from the eastern regions didn't want to be banned from speaking their native Russian, as the Banderites in the west wanted. They created their own government. Then they began bombing them, and this continued for eight years, until Russia sent troops into Donbass. This situation can be compared to the United States and Canada. Canada also has two official languages—English and French. And just imagine that, for whatever reason, the French portion of the population suddenly began to oppress and kill English-speaking Canadians. How would English-speaking America react? I think it would wipe out those who allowed this to happen. So, don't play the innocent. This war didn't start out of nowhere.
