I think that the main focus should be on bringing the troops home, the economy and reducing the DEBT!
Do you suppose that the POTUS can do more than one thing at a time? He is bringing home the troops. The Iraq war is over. Obama killed Bin Ladin and is withdrawing troops from Afganistan.
Additionally, he has reversed the contraction in the economy and unemployment and signed into law legislation that will reduce the nations deficits by a trillion dollars. And he is pushing for legislation that will take an additional 4 trillion out of the deficit.
How much are you willing to spend to close the borders?
Nothing. It's a matter of National Security. It is my country's job to deport the illegals and close the borders. Not mine.
By just relocating the returning troops from Afghanistan and Iraq would easily make the Mexican border more secure and no extra money would be required.
Who is going to pay for the costs of rounding up existing aliens? Where are you going to house all of the aliens you round up? Are you going to feed those aliens? How are you going to move them across the border? Where are you going to the money for the legal and deportation hearings or are you going to take away civil rights and put the Bill of Rights on ignore?
Do you know how many miles of border this country has? If we cannot secure the Afganistan Pakistan border with our current troop levels and the minimal levels of commerce between Pakistan and Afganistan what makes you think we can secure American borders which are much larger with the same number of troops?
you can't close the borders its impossible and most illegals pay taxes but get nothing back.
AND THEY DON"Y COMMIT CRIMES. anyone with half a brain cell can explain this one to you. if they commit crimes they can get caught and deported so they make damn sure not commit any crimes.
the Us borders are 12,034 KM(7,477.581 miles) long. the fourth largest behind Russia, China, and Brazil. the idea that you can just close them easily is stupid. the idea that you have that they could easily be closed and not cost anything is literally insane. You really have no idea how the real world works and the economics of things.

I gave a perfect answer to you about securing the Mexican border then you come up with "other " borders, can you just think where the BIGGEST problem seems to be coming from, or is that asking to much of you to do?
As for finding the rest well that's another problem that I can tell you how to stop as others have already done before me but I'm not being paid enough and I'm being invaded in my own home by people who unlock my doors and want to try to make me feel "insecure". for some reasons or other.

The Republicans said that if border issues were addressed, then they would consider immigration reform, and this is exactly what Obama did. He's doing everything they want and they are freaking out!
Yeah you like Diane want something for nothing. You want the borders secured but you don't want to pay a dime to do it. Instead of taking the savings from the closing of two wars you want to spend the money on border security. That does not sound fiscally responsible to me.
Additionally, you have no proof to show that using American troops on the border will be effective in closing down the borders...even if you just want to focus on the American- Mexican border.
As I said American troops have not been able to secure the Afgan-Pakistan border so what makes you think they will be any more effective at securing the Mexican-American border?

How many americans kill americans per day? Also you should read your own sources, nytimes says only 20% of federal prisoners and 6.4% of state prisoners are "non-citizens" which includes people who entered the country legally. Worse 6.8% of all people in the USA are non-citizens which means "non-citizens" have a equal or lower incarceration rate than citizens.
