Obama on going into Pakistan

Why, countezero? That's what I wanted all along, to fight the real war on terror and stop ignoring what's going on in Pakistan!

Well, just like Bush, Obama is turning to militarism as his ratings sink. The only thing to note about recent polls is not who is winning, but the fact that the ongoing war of words between Clinton and Obama is turning off voters.

Howls of outrage? Not necessary. Continued declining support among Democratic voters? Yeah, probably. He's showing his political inexperience here, trying to prove he's got bigger stones than Hillary Clinton.

Here's what I don't understand. The drudge report just held a vote after the DNC youtube debate. And Obama won by a landslide. He generated 46% of the votes to Hillarys 13%.

Obama has won every poll that the *people* has had direct participation in.

Barack Obama won the MoveOn poll with results quite similar to those of the Democracy for American straw poll:

Obama - 27.9 percent
Edwards 24.7 percent
Kucinich - 17.2 percent
Richardson - 12.3 percent
Clinton - 10.7 percent
Biden - 6.2 percent
Dodd - 1.1 percent

I can go on all night with examples. The only polls Hillary are winning are the BIG corporate polls, that you or I have no control over. This is even more proof that elections are won by the most poweful, not the most popular.

those BIG corporate polls also have a more balanced array of voters, much like you would see from a nation-wide election.
In your moveon focus group example, Kucinich was ranked 3rd as the debate's winner, ahead of Clinton, Biden, and Richardson... case and point.

Even if you agree or disagree with Denis Kucinich. He's without a doubt one of the most skilled debators that has ever graced the stadium. His views are consistent, articulate, and delivered with razor sharp annotation and clarity.

No, I can be pleased. I've said many times that the US dropped the ball by shifting forces from Afghanistan to Iraq. And I think going after terrorists in Pakistan who the Pakistanis won't go after is a good idea. However, it has to be done carefully, otherwise it could be construed as an act of war. My original point, I suppose, was that if Bush talked this tough talk of Obama's, the usual suspects on this site would be out accusing him of "prepping" everyone for a war against Pakistan...

I had no idea he had discussed the same thing in much more guarded terms.

The usual suspects on this site did know about that, however.

It's common knowledge, in the much-maligned lefty press.

And contrary to your presumptions, which (as with many conservatives) apparently become fixed in your memory as events, these usual suspects have not been howling in outrage about W "prepping us" for war with Pakistan.
