See, you're hung up on what you want to be real instead of what is real.
PE is a concept and nothing more. It's derived from ridiculous notion that men and women are supposed to immediately start having intercourse and climax together when even you have pointed out that it's not how we physically operate.
Everyone knows women can take longer to wind up and there's no reason to create a bogus term to place fault or blame on someone for a natural process.
It seems like the OP and this post share a common idea about PE: the woman doesn't like it and the only reason men won't like it is because women don't like it. This is ridiculous. If PE is regular for you, you are know enjoying sex as much as you could. In fact some men know this directly because of how sex with another person compares in some ways with masturbation.
Having some ideal that everybody comes at the same time can be a burden, but it is not in anyone's best interest to simply view PE as a hallucination. There can be a number of causes of coming early and some of them can be changed.
Of course minimizing and eliminating blame is important, but we do not need to pretend that the man coming within a minute of penetration is simply something both people have to live with.
Further it is not my experience that women take longer. They may take longer to have several orgasms, but if there is foreplay for both sides, my experience is definitely that the women has her orgasm before me, at least her first. And I am not some sort of super stud nor am I bragging. It is not as if I go on for hours.
I think women have a tendency to want global stimulation and men are more likely to focus on genital stimulation - though they would be pleasantly surprised to find how much better their orgasms and the sex is if more of their bodies are warmed up, so to speak.
I think one of the causes of PM is the genital focus. Too much stimulation fast on the dick and too little spreading out over the man's body. Men and women are less different than they seem to be. Or to put this another way, bad habits have developed because men and women are trained to be different.
