Thats because they don't exist/
IOW, there are no "Palestinian Jews"
So they DO exist.
Not with green cards, ie Palestinian citizenship, they don't. By definition, then, they are Israelis, not Palestinians
"all but a few native Palestinian Jews became citizens of Israel"
So there are some native Palestinians that are Jews.
Okay, then you can decide if they are Jews or Palestinians based on the argument.
Meanwhile, the OP stands.
I have to know them personally ? Whatever..
He's an Israeli citizen. And a convert to Islam.
so than lets call Israeli citizen converted to islam as Palestinian Jews.
It's always "us and them" to you, isn't it? That would be the Islamic ideology causing much division within you.
It doesn't change your agenda or your trolling in the least, so what's the difference?
Fascinating. Yet I think the problem is more the "the Jews". It's like "the Muslims" - why would one say it that way? It implies something subtly distasteful. It doesn't work as well for muslims, mind you - how about "the blacks"? Carries some extra meaning.
If they were, I might.
They aren't, so I don't.
You got to put away the crack before it puts you away.
I don't know. There's an indigenous Canadian writer who rationalizes her refusal (inability? I'll not assume) to abide by the conventions of the English language with the ol' oppression/colonialism argument--laziness compels me to not elaborate, anyways, you get the picture. Sure, one might read a certain connotation based upon prior experience with the employer of the phrase in question, but the fact is: the Jews commonly refer to themselves as the Jews, and I don't think their employment of such is in the same spirit as, say, the reappropriation of "nigga/nigger," as there's no reappropriation. Still, if one must, I think ya can come up with something better than non-Palestinians.
edit: repeated typos
Personnaly SAM, i have no problem with you using Jews. I would prefer actually if you use the term Jews instead of non Palestinians.
Could we have some fun with Sam and re-write the lyrics to "No More Tears" by Ozzie Osbourne?
Yes, I actually respect non-Palestinians who follow the Abrahamic religion of Moses on this forum more than the ones who flap around on their behalf. From A to Z I have no problem arguing with NPWFTHAR about their attitudes and beliefs. Its the others who are a major issue and can't seem to cross the hurdle. I don't recall having any particular problems discussing issues with you either. Perhaps the politically correct/incorrect nature of society plays a role in our responses? I find the Americans much more relaxed than the Australians on the whole, except for republicans, that is.
wow, you know, there should be a 100 post minimum for using sarcasm, cuz when someguy with 5 says soemthing like that, you cant tell if its someone making a joke, or just 420joey's puppet
