Nina Kulagina and documented psychokinesis

There's a reason why no psychic powers have ever been proven to exist.

But I do have one, but not one I like to boast about: I have an infallible psychic ability to know if a specific person has psychic ability or not. And my infallible ability tells me that, no, Nina Kulagina did not. Nor has anyone else I've been asked about. Unfortunately, until a person with genuine psychic ability can be separately proven to exist, my own psychic ability can never be independently proven. Which is a shame. Ah, well.

;)

John Chang AKA Dynamo Jack is filmed in the 90's performing astonishing feats of exerted Chi energy from his hands and body.
Who determined that Chi energy was involved?

How was the Chi energy detected?

Was this testing done under controlled lab conditions?
Solid proof that PK called Chi in this case is definitely the real thing!
Is it your contention, then, that "Chi" isn't a separate thing in itself, but merely an example of a generalised paranormal "energy"?

How are such energies detected/measured/identified?

Uh..by lighting a newspaper on fire and shocking the fuck out of everybody.
Something lit the newspaper on fire, but you still haven't explained how you know it was "Chi energy" and you have deliberately and dishonestly dodged the question about how Chi energy is detected (i.e. distinguished from established kinds of energy - electrical, heat, etc.).

Did you even watch the video?
No. What would be the point of that?*

You're just fanboying/advertising, as usual.

* Besides, you previously posted this one on this forum, didn't you? Has anything changed since you last posted it? Have you, perhaps, learned something new over the past few years?

Didn't think so.

Glycerin/Sugar and Potassium Manganate. Debunked.

In Chinese culture, chi or qi is the lifeforce that flows thru everything and is developed thru the ancient art of qijong. Think the Force in Star Wars. It can no more be measured or quantified than consciousness can..

"Here, we review current approaches for measuring consciousness, covering both behavioural measures and measures based on neurophysiological data. We outline a variety of broad theoretical positions before describing a range of measures in the context of these theories, emphasizing recent contributions"

"Consciousness, by its nature, is a subjective experience that is only accessible to the individual experiencing it, making it difficult to directly measure using objective scientific methods; researchers can only measure correlated behaviors or brain activity that may be associated with consciousness, but not consciousness itself. "

"According to current scientific understanding, "chi" (or "qi" in Chinese medicine) cannot be measured as it is considered a non-physical concept, meaning it is not a tangible energy that can be detected by standard scientific instruments; therefore, there is no accepted method to quantify it in a scientific way."

Wow, did you just actually deny the link I provided for you showing how consciousness can be measured and then somehow equated your denial to Chi? Hilarious!

If Chi can't be measured, how do you know it exists?

Magical Realist:

(Q) said that the the lighting of the paper in the video has nothing to do with Chi, but a lot to do with the chemical reaction of Glycerin/Sugar and Potassium Manganate.

Is that possible? Or could it only be Chi?

Nope...he crumples up the newspaper and puts his open hand on the newspaper and is obviously not adding potassium manganate and glycerin at any point. And the reaction of glycerin with potassium manganate produces a distinctive sparkly white flame unlike the paper which simply lights on fire. See below.. So it can only be his Chi energy.

That's a false dichotomy, Magical Realist. Even if you could eliminate the specific chemical reaction that was mentioned - and I don't think you can - that does not leave "it can only be his Chi energy" as the only remaining possible explanation.

You don't honestly think I'm buying your clown act, do you? Nobody is as stupid as you pretend to be.

It beats your logic that it therefore can't be his Chi energy. Did you see him shocking all the people who touched him? Do you think they were faking it?

So what is my "clown act" you're not buying? You asked a question and I honestly answered it. How is that "pretending to be stupid?" Do you always think people you ask questions of are trying to deceive you somehow? I suggest a good therapist.
