Need A Clue.???

A bit like our old friend Zebedee?

One end of the wire is bent into a 1/4" circle to balance the penny on... the other end is stuck into a little glob of modelling clay (which is stuck on the bottom of the bowl)... an when viewed from a particular angle... the wire is not visible an the penny now apears to be floating in air.!!!
Then cool water (keeping the clay firm) is added to the bowl just until it rises above the penny... which is easy to do since the penny has a thin coat of Vaseline on it.!!!

What kind of critter is it.???

Clue:::
These critters weigh 125 to 150 pounds an can be quite dangerous to strangers.!!!

It was pinned up an about 300 feet away when I took its pic.!!!

What does "pinned up" mean?
"Penned up"
Anything like a sheep ?
An ostrich?(is that its neck?)

Is it lying down and can the fence be made out in the horizontal line above the whitish body?
A horse?
It is lying down... the horizontal line you see is a 5 foot fence about 50' South an it ant a horse.!!!
Either that or the mutated descendant of the killer rabbit of Caerbannog.
Not Alpaca... an not nearly as dangerous as the killer rabbit.!!!

It got loose a couple of mounths ago an was in my yard... I walked up to it an lightly touched it... it had no reaction... just stared at me... I then decided to walk away slowly an alert the owner.!!!

Clue:::

Its full grown.!!!

A St Bernard ?

A St Bernard ?
Not a st Bernard.!!!

EDIT... You're in the ball park.!!!

In 1971 I dated a girl whose family-thang was St Benards... 2 lived in the house an one was chained to an old barn.!!!
I'm pretty sure the one chained to the barn was somehow related to Stephen Kings Cujo.!!!

Once we walked about about 100' down the road to visit her sister... an Cujo saw us... over an over lunging at his sizable chain... I ask her if the dog was friendly to her... she said no... that she didn't get near it. After a visit wit sister we had to pass by Cujo again an he was still furious.!!!
The chain looked strong enuff but who knows if the collar was about to break. That was prolly the most scared I ever been an I ant scared of nuthin :eek:

Clue:::

This critter is awake most of the night an sleeps most of the day.!!!
