Ha... I didn't know what Licorice sweets was so I googled it an your's was a Dam good guess... but no... not Licorice sweets.!!!

Clue::: What you see is not edible... but it contains an edible that I only use 2 to 4 drops of at a time.!!!
 
Initially I thought it was an Oreo that had been opened up, but you've added that it's not edible...

Is something in a black pot?
Home-made soap?
 
Soap in a dish with something like tea tree oil that you might use as eye drops?

The base of a scented candle?
 
The seal beneath the plastic lid of a bottle of vanilla.

Edit: Not vanilla, because you said you use only 2 to 4 drops, but something like that.

Now that you mentioned it ... it looks just like a Oreo to me to... but its not a Oreo or somptin in a black pot or soap.!!!

Wrong... its the seal beneath the plastic lid of a bottle of coconut extract :p

Ok ok close enuff... we have a Winer :D

I leave the seal attached to the bottle... an then poke a tiny hole in it at the side with a safety pin... an that way... wit-out squeasin it drips a drop about once per second making it easy to get the exact amount I want for a cup of hot cocoa... etc.!!!

At that size, it would have to be made of marble or some other dense substance. Is the hair real or some kind of print that tricks the eye at that scale? Top of an old inkwell? (No, who still uses an inkwell?)

When you say "item" you mean a freestanding object, not a component of some larger object?

No... not a kettle or anythang to do wit tea... an the colorful streaks are all natural to the item.!!!

The "hair" appearance is unintentional... an is caused during use of the item for its intended purpose... an one might say... "some kind of print that tricks the eye at that scale" :biggrin:
