First, all but minuscule % of "elite", get PROFESSIONAL TRAINING of various depth and quality not education in the traditional sense of the word. You can't run (semi) industrial society with stone age people. Thus, olygarchies are interested in having immense pull of docile, somewhat trained but not educated people, diligently working and reproducing the system. All the "educational" efforts from kindergarden to graduate school are directed towards this goal - content, "trained", docile slaves reproducers, not rocking the boat.


"Education" can be used to enslave with the same success as a whip. Just visit the nearest friendly campus, sniff aroma of isolation, very limited knowledge of the surrounding world, I-ll-do everything-to-get-good-job, I-don't-need-crap-which-brings-no-money-or-would-cause-trouble. And that's YOUTH, the most noncomforminst portion of society, behaving like 80 years old retired masters of office games.

Yes exactly. They trick you into thinking the income tax is legitimate, when indeed it is not, we may as well make human slavery legal. They trick you into thinking that having a dollar which is not backed by gold is legal, the teach you that it should be backed with human workforce. Did you know that if you put money in the bank it loses value faster than it gains from its pathetic interest rate. The hidden tax of inflation devalues the money you try to save. And without gold backing, politicians print money off at a whim to start wars, pay for roads for star wars....

Although your point is valid I'd have to disagree with you and agree with the one who posted this thread. You are a good example of the slave that the elite wants. I'll explain why. The majority of the masses are in servitude to the ruling elites, whether these elites are major corporate CEO's, high ranking politicians, judges, masons or military leaders. They are the ruling class they are the class that control all those beneath them in their eyes maybe were not slaves but we are all in servitude to them. Wal-mart is just one example it's the second largest corporation in the world and its average employee makes under 10 dollars an hour. Is this not injustice and an example of servitude?
Although those of us who are not subject to that form of slavery 15% of us go on to finish college and fit into another mold. The mold of debt and servitude to our careers and the maintenance of our lifestyle of comfort until retirement or in many cases death. Most of us never actually receive financial independence and if the net of our jobs were removed most of us will fall victim to evictions and repos of our most prized possessions which very few of us actually own.
From 9 to 5 were slaves to our jobs chasing the illusion of happiness that most of us fail to reach due to our empty aspirations. from 5 until sleep most of us are slaves to our desires our brainwashed ideas and information feed to us through the media. Other than our families which in most cases are the source of much difficulty our lives are influenced by others telling us what to do or believe.

Well, of course, employees are in servitude. We are servants of our masters - the employers. But, that's not slavery. Slavery is no choice over whom we serve. I can't imagine any utopian world where we are all financially independent and could do whatever we wanted. Someone's got to work. Maybe if we all had robots to do our bidding, but then the robots would complain. The elite will seemingly always be there. Someone's going to be in charge whether you like it or not.

A parent has a right to be a parent. Schools aren't parents - although there is nothing wrong with the idea of schools that teach parents how to be parents. If consumers really cared about the environment, than corporations would respond or be beaten by competitors. Of course I have heard of marketing. I didn't say you couldn't convince someone they need something, I said it's easier to sell something they want than to convince them they have a hidden desire. What's naive about a real slave spitting in your face? A real slave would think we are rich and should shut our mouths and stop complaining. Not to say that we should shut our mouths, only that a slave would say so.

The uniqueness of being human is that we can choose the system we are a 'slave' to - or choose not to partake of any system (suicide).

Are we all slaves? It can be viewed that way if one wishes to relenquish control of themself. We define our own reality. Freedom exsists solely in our choice of how we view life ... our philosophy. One frees themself by living in happiness with thier life, no matter the system. If one considers themself as an unhappy slave, they are a slave indeed.

Well, perhaps if people are so weak-willed that they allow themselves to be thus "controlled", they probably couldn't make it on their own anyway. Perhaps couldn't even make choices!

In fact, the price of gold has gone nearly as high as the record in 1980. Gold price in 1980 (adjusted for the hidden tax of inflation) $750 per ounce when London was scamming everyone with absurdly high prices. Gold in July 2007 is now at 650$ but this time the scam thats being run is the hidden tax of inflation.

When gold goes up in price all that is happening is the Dollar is going down in worth because we're printing so many paper Dollars out for the WELFARE state America is indulging in, much like Rome collapsed. (plus the war in Iraq is breaking our budget to pieces)

Here you have a pie chart of where our debt is going, for some reason it says the Government and Federal Reserve own 40.6% of the debt, but its the citizens who will actually pay it, as their dollar collapses and they have no gold to buy food in the coming depression.

I have yet to see a gun pointed at anyone when they sign a loan for a new house or car. No claw marks on the door frames from people being dragged, kicking and screaming, into the cellular or designer clothes stores.

People incure these huge personal debts because they're greedy, grasping little rodents. And when the time comes to work and pay for their toys, they bitch and moan about how it's not their fault; the 'system' is to blame. They would rather whine than take responsibility for their choices. They think life is made of STUFF and want it all given to them.
