That's what everything we have found out about reality so far leads us to conclude. Faster than light communication or travel has never been observed even in the most extremely energetic events outside the first seconds of the Big Bang and Inflation. If a Supermassive Black Hole cannot warp space, how will we? Wormholes, entanglement, Black Holes all seem to be confined in the Quantum, if they actually exist at all.
I too went through a period of complete dejection at the prospect that we are largely alone and are likely to remain alone, though there's always hope. But then I started looking into what is possible and there's really no limit to the possibilities in our own solar system, no limits on the energy or resources needed, we only need to be able to reach low Earth orbit. I got mad that they let all the Space Shuttle fuel tanks fall back into the ocean, put 30 or so together, side by side around a rim and spray water on them and it's a low tech space station with gravity and shielding. If they had built them with hatches and internal equipment before they used them to launch and all you would need to do before you moved in is remove all the hydrogen and oxygen. I would like to retire to zero G, my bones don't work so good, anymore.

No, the speed of light will never be broken.
We may one day though achieve a perception of FTL travel via a Alcubierre drive or similar space warping technology. In such cases, the only thing breaking "c" is space/time....any craft within the space/time bubble, is taken along for the ride.

Space warping is not against the laws of physics or GR....and could theoretically be achieved one day.
That, as far as I know, is the only "non woo"way of achieving a perception of FTL travel.

Show that space has any physicality to it , not by abstract mathematics , but by actual physical proof

On the one hand, I deleted that post because I had second thoughts regarding the words you used to describe space-time.
On the other hand, the results of Gravity probe B (and the Taylor-Huse binary system) indicate that space-time behaves in exactly the way predicted by relativity (much like the higgs boson, a dissapointing result, an anomaly at least would show us where to look for the next level of physics).
Much to think upon
The Gravity Probe B directly measured the geodetic effect. That means the measurement was made in the local proper frame of the Gravity Probe B experiment. You should read about the experimental tests for GR. Read about the Gravity Probe B experiment. Around 50 years in the making.
Perhaps another thread would be presented to further this discussion , not perhaps , it should be

Surely you are able to google and check it out at NASA.....Plus of course, the warping and Lense Thirring effects, was also observed by other Satellites before GP-B, although not quite to the precision of it.

GP-B was decades in the constructing with previous non existent technologies, especially concerning the precision of the Gyroscopes.

The sound barrier and light barrier are not related: traveling faster than the speed of sound was never theoretically impossible. It was always merely a technological hurdle.
