1. Continuing to post off-topic, following a previous official warning not to do so (in this very thread).
2. Misquoting another member by mixing his own words into a supposed quote.
3. Trolling - attempting to provoke another member.

If you don't care about these distinctions don't pollute the thread with irrelevant comments.
 
Could've been a mistake of billvon to give any mention to Trump. Like those tales where speaking the name draws their attention. Not that I think what billvon said was inappropriate, but the name itself is an incitement to some.

It isn't though and it has been called.
Mr G has the opportunity to post on topic or start new threads just like the rest of us.

You received a personal message detailing the actual violation. Moreover, it's not hard to find. The violating post was post #28 and the warning was publicised in post #30, just two posts later.

Our site rules are detailed in the relevant thread at the top of the thread list in the Site Feedback subforum.

What more do you need?
 
Who cares?? He's doing nothing but trolling. Even on ignore he's still disrupting the thread. Maybe if everyone put him on ignore?

That would be the same as a ban as he would be invisible essentially.
He made a post where he said he will try to stop being snarky.
He is posting like he is getting drunk then getting angry at the universe.
24 years on the site...
I suppose a lot of bad things can happen in that time.

Yes. Trolls will back off if they think the heat is getting too close. The trick is in the balance: trolling as much as possible without getting nailed. But mostly just to keep the attention on themselves - as is being done now.

And I don't see anything that looks like actual contribution amongst any of this "snarkiness".
