The idea of embedded press, its implications and much more has been discussed recently but now it seems that the US is stepping up its moves to actively silence any press reports it doesn't feel is in line with its propoganda war, with cruise missiles.

Al-Jazeera correspondent Tariq Ayoub was killed on Tuesday when two US missiles struck the Baghdad offices of the Qatar-based channel.
Five other journalists including three from the news agency Reuters were also injured when a tank fired a round at the Palestine Hotel where at least 200 international correspondents, including Al-Jazeera reporters, are staying in Baghdad.
At first i was thinking maybe another set of FF incidents going to be passed off as accidental but:

Since Al Jazeera started covering the US-led war on Iraq its Arabic and English language websites have also been attacked by what computer experts describe as organised and systematic hacking campaign.
Again for them to spout of again and again about crime after crime commited by Saddam then bombing civillian targets, Using Cluster bombs and land mines, now targetting Press, this is all going to come around at some point and i won't want to be near them when it does.
