meesa jar jar binks!

star wars episode awful

i hated the character and hated most of the new movie. it was abysmal pop culture.

Hmmm... I don´t know. The first time when I watched the Episode 1 I thought it was excellent, but as I watched it a few times again, Jar Jar Binks did really start to annoy, but other parts of the movie are still great I think.
The whole Starwars feeling was the same (altough I ofcourse missed Luke, Leia, Han etc.). The first episode was still a great adventure just like all the other episodes as well. The whole Starwars saga´s atmosphere is quite strange I think, sometime the action is fast, almost wacky and the charracters mainly surivive with pure luck (but then again, who needs skills, just go with the flow  ). I just hope that the 2nd and 3rd episodes are atleast a bit like Empire Strikes Back and Jedi Retuns... that the plot thickens and becomes more deeper. Ofcourse the Phantom Menace did have some depth in it already... atleast more than in the New Hope.

meeessa back! Meesa gave good performance, it was hokey director lucas who doodooed the movie up.

You wanna fight? Lets go counsler! Meesa kick youssa's ass!

Jar Jar ruined the whole movie. That combined with a vague storyline. Just watch Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi... then Episode 1. The first three were great, the latest one is just horrible when compared to them. (Why would they go from robot soldiers to people?)

I don't like Jar Jar. I think the The Phantom Menace would've done better without Jar Jar.

The Phantom Menance was Jar Jar... Yes you can just imagine someone trying to walk away from this inane creature acting so inconceivably daft even the Dark side of the force was having a hard enough trouble to be nasty without breaking out in irrational giggle fits.

Admittedly I don't think that the Jar Jar that was concieved was that of the Jar Jar that might have been written about previously. (I think the structuring was to try and apeal to young children, rather than Adults that have grown up from being children of Starwars)
