Mass Shootings in the U.S. (Running Log & Comment)

It makes no sense to respond to crime by calling off the rule of law.

And, really, stop with the bloodlust; it's dumb enough as it is, but your insincerity just makes your advocacy of murder all the more grotesque.
Actually, it makes a lot of sense. When the rule of law fails, as it has, you need new rules to solve the problem.
Just because you're some sheepish idiot who is afraid of his shadow, doesn't make me a murderer. You're the one who is grotesque with his inability to act forcibly when necessary to preserve civilization. You would let the world go down the tubes to preserve your false emotional security.

So your response to Tiassa is that...the rule of law is for weenies while the brave and emotionally secure are okay with state executions of anyone found with, or conveying, an unlicensed firearm?? And you see execution for such offenses as "necessary to preserve civilization," is that correct?

As a Quaker might ask, how does killing people teach that it's wrong to do anything that increases the chances of people getting killed? Will people embrace nonviolence and renounce firearms in a society that kills people for potentially what was skipped paperwork? Draconian answers like yours seem more threat to the rule of law than what we have - people don't respect the law more when it becomes homicidal.

What's next on your list of courageous solutions to thorny problems? Death penalty for shoplifting? Public flogging for jaywalking? Red hot pokers for littering?

No, I said selling, trafficking, or using criminally. Has nothing to do with found or conveying and you know it.
Also, the rule of law is not working. In such a case it needs modification.
And your juvenile attempt to paint me as something I am not doesn't phase me at all. I am quite secure in my Self-knowledge.

If you kill enough killers, soon there won't be anymore. They will give it up. Remember Germany, Italy, and Japan. They gave it up.
And three other analogies you may or may not understand.
OK corral, radical masectomy, and a kidney removal,

No, psychological adjustment for idiots like you who think it's all one big joke.

I used convey in the legal sense, which can mean selling or trafficking. And the person on this chat who wants to make those capital offenses should avoid directing others to "psychological adjustment." And killing lots of killers so does not eliminate them. Often, it can increase their numbers. You may be secure in your self-knowledge but I wouldn't get too comfy about your knowledge of history.

OK, try this one. You can own any legal guns without any background checks or restrictions, but if you use them for other than self or other defense or hunting or target shooting or the like you get the death penalty. Any better? Maximum freedom, maximum responsibility.
I bet I know as much history as you or more.
Finally, my psyche is fine, it's been forged in fire.
