Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370

knowledge of SDU and Inmarsat interaction I am still trying to understand, but seems like it makes sense. I might have to review some sections of the video
That is very compelling, the handshakes.

Also when the engines shut off and the back up systems kicked in again and communicated with the satellite.

Seems like real closure would be to uncover the pilot's mental state. It suggests it's possible to have an extended psychosis where one seems outwardly normal and functional, and yet capable of mass murder
Yeah that is the tricky part. It is my understanding that these pilots came under huge scrutiny.
Nothing was uncovered besides the captain's simulator runs.
No political, religious or personal motivation.

Went back and read much of the 2014 chat - obv billvon contributions are informative and resting on the solid foundations of his work experience. I need to explore more on how the Fire Theory, with its possibilities of cascades of glitches and shutting off avionic systems to try and stop an ignition source, could produce a series of events that could appear sinister. It doesn't easily explain the plane turning twice. The first turn, which took it near an airfield, makes sense. But the second, heading out into the big blue empty, would have to be some massive navigational failure or hypoxia leading to delusional maneuvers or...who knows.

Several posters touched on some of the problem with the suicide theory. If Zaharie is really wanting no shame or shadow to fall on his family, why involve a planeful of innocents at all?* The proposed method doesn't seem to fit with a man reportedly a devout Muslim. It's Malaysia, FFS, surely plenty of shores with undertows, rip currents, etc. which would allow him a plausible drowning death.

All these theories are seductive, at first, then kind of falter at some point.

* the flight manifest seems to indicate no group aboard that would comprise some special target for rage
