It was indeed. The gig was weird. No one was moving, it was sterile. Well, no the crowd was sterile, Beck was amazing. I was right at the back dancing my li'l ass off right behind some guy from Hollyoaks. Not that I watch Hollyoaks. I remember he picked up on it and asked the crowd if they were expecting a big, pink pig to fly over their heads or something. I loved it though. I can't understand how you can listen to his music and not need to move. What he did on those decks was amazing.
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, I hate seated venues. To be honest I wouldn't normally go to Wembley, unless it's an outdoors thing I don't really like to go anywhere bigger than Brixton Academy. But my mate had a spare so I figured why not.
Great gig otherwise, I too was shaking my rump at the back of the venue. I could bang on all day about how much of an incredible turntablist DJ Swamp is - the routine he did on that tour was basically a longer version of a routine that won him the DMC title a few years earlier.
I still reckon Midnight Vultures is Becks best album too, even if he has disowned it... crazy scientologist.
No fucking way. Fo real? Ha. Yeah, a lot of his "fans" hated it too. First Beck album I came across was One Foot In The Grave, and he disowns Vultures??? I don't know much about Scientology but I reckon whenever that word is spoken aloud, somewhere a little physicist dies. Pooff!
